i was off sick today due to a stomach upset overnight. feel ok(ish) now though.
esther had orchestra before school and tennis after
then this evening the lady who runs the teaching franchise which jane works for came over to tell us how it runs in case we are interested in buying it. plenty to think about.

Well, Dave was the only representative from our family today because he was in the band and I had to collect Esther from her sleepover.
Dave cleverly replaced a sensor light which got damaged in the house water blast.
We went to 2 open homes on our street for a nose and could see our house from one of them.
Then I mowed the lawn. I had to jump in the garden bin to make room for the grass. Dave has made me look weird in this photo.
Kezia made stuffed crust pizza for dinner
Hello. The day started with Kezia, pearl and I going off to Kezia’s dawn swimming session. Kez swam and Pearl and I tramped round the streets in the dark.
Meanwhile esther and Dave went off to Church Camp with a load of sound equipment. Church camp was at carey park, where it has been twice before and where Esther and Kezia both had their year 6 camps. kezia and I came along a bit later and coolly arrived as the morning briefing was beginning.
We then attended some excellent workshops before lunch. After lunch Esther and I came home as Esther was going to a sleepover at a friend from the Junior High’s house. Dave and Kezia stayed for afernoon fun, on the confidence course.

it felt a bit fresh this morning as i walked to work in the dark. still nice and warm during the day though
we had the house washed today which consisted of a man coming along with a high powered hose and aiming it at our patio stones and walls. he did a good job
work for me, school for the girls.
kezia had a mufti day and john key the prime minister came along but kez didn’t see him. no idea what that was about
there were cashews on the glasses aisle in the supermarket.
jane did lots of fitness then kindly drove round albany collecting bits of sound equipment that i need for church camp tomorrow.
whilst kezia was at swimming this evening jane and esther walked round the local volcano lake
this evening i spent a while mending things and checking other things were working. here’s a broken microphone (before i mended it)
so, as i mentioned earlier, i got to keep my job, which is good. my boss phoned me whilst i was chairing a 2.5 hour industry meeting where i was doing most of the talking, but i managed to duck out for 2 minutes so that was good. in fact my whole team escaped the chop which is great as we’re all good friends and it would be sad to lose someone from the team.
jane did loads of sport things today with pearl and then went to her spinning class and then ran round the block! then there was housework and gardening and sewing and essential shopping and met a chum and went to the library and took kez to swimming and back.
meanwhile i met esther after school at the bus stop from her orchestra (one of her new orchestra pieces sounds very exotic she said).
then this evening i had a really long music practice at church and now i’m quite exhausted.
just a quick update to say my job is safe. will do a proper update later. dave
jane had a good day doing fitness things with friends. girls had school. i had work.
this evening esther had her church youth group and i went to the photo society where everyone was as unwelcoming as they were last week!
Still, it was worth going as the chap giving the workshop talk on Lightroom was excellent. i used some of my new skillz on the image above which looked like this when it came out of my camera.
i get to hear whether i still have a job tomorrow. funny old times.
the girls both had days off school today. esther went round to a friend’s house and kezia had a friend over here
kezia’s christmas curtains also arrived today. they look very smart.
this evening kezia had a 2 hour swimming lesson.
and jane took pearl to doggy training
nice foggy morning today after all the rain yesterday. really warm though
the day started with a stream of skyping of parents
then kezia finished tidying her room
jane and esther went for a walk with pearl whilst kezia and i went round the shops which were madly busy (due to the sales and everything being closed on Sunday). we had a highly successful trip though
this afternoon was spent doing various chores which also went very well
one thing we had to do was move the trampoline back round onto the grass in preparation for house washing on friday. so that was the usual palava
then it was a swim in the pool, some sitting around, some film watching and then bed.
