Buffet breakfast at the hotel (food and company was great but the highlight was the plate collecting robot wandering around).

9am we met our tour lady Keiko who gave us a tour of a couple of shrines, some very grungy streets (my favourite) a palace, a hidden upstairs sushi restaurant, up a tower which looked like the Eiffel Tower (but wasn’t) and more street crossings and 3d advertising boards than i could ever hope for (and we loved every minute of it!).
We got back to the hotel around 5pm, had a little snooze then headed out to a little restaurant for dinner, where they somehow misheard 2 BLT sandwhich as ‘2 beers’ but other than that it was great.
Then Jane kindly let me go to Japan’s biggest camera shop which is spread across about 4 different buildings and 5 different floors to buy various things. I won’t tell you how much i spent, but i saved us a lot of money as not only were the prices cheaper than in New Zealand, but we got the 10% tax back as well!
