jane was up early to walk pearl and her friend sarah, and then went to the gym and supermarket

i took esther to her trombone lesson and did some shopping round wairau road while she was in there.

i spent most of the rest of the day fiddling with photos.  Along the way i discovered that one of my pictures of Alice Cooper had made it in to Getty Image’s best 10 pictures of the day!!!

Kezia went to visit an old people’s home this afternoon with her youth group to talk to them and generally be friendly

esther and jane went to janine’s house this afternoon for a high tea for Amy (i think)

and my friend Buzz popped by for a cheery cuppa as he was working nearby and we lived the dream for a bit as it wasn’t raining (but was cloudy)

i worked from home because my stomach has been quite painful this week.  everyone else had school

in the evening i went out to photo Alice Cooper.  He’s 69 years old and still rocking!

school for all

fay went in to university to seal up her samples ready for transportation back to the UK.  she then went to australia on wednesday.

kezia had a performance exam for her viola on Tuesday night which jane and i went along to.  it was a long session as we had to watch each member of her class do their solo pieces, but it was good

esther heard she had got in to the halls of residence she had applied to via the waiting list so that’s great for her for next year

esther had a hair cut. i had busy days at work

today was a public holiday (yay) so jane and i went in to auckland museum this morning to look at the National History Museum photographer of the year animal photos which were excellent.  you can’t allowed to take photos in the exhibition.  it rained most of the day

this afternoon the girls have had various music practices with accompanists

fay stayed at home and did her washing

we skipped church in the morning (as it’s a long weekend) and went out for lunch at muriwai instead   Fay came back in the afternoon.

i went to the Armageddon Expo during the day where i saw John Barrowman in a dress and in the evening I photoed some bands in the evening which went on lots later than expected but were very good.  everyone was doing school work and music practice things then in the evening jane and kezia went round to biffy’s house for tea

the chap below was in the original star trek series.  when asked about the other stars he said “i hate them all”

school, work. 

sorry it’s been a while.  technical troubles and busyness of life.

here’s a summary of some things:

saturday i did my street photography course which involved the diwali festival and in the evening i photoed Alison Moyet

the girls had their end of year music performers formal dinner and esther won lots of awards and certificates.

there’s been lots of revising

we celebrated 8 years in auckland with a breakfast at the waterfront

i went for a walk at the beach and got sunburnt

fay is driving round the south island in a car having south island bit mountain fun

and it’s nearly warm enough for people to go in the sea (but note the people watching are still wearing winter coats)

i’ve had work.  Jane has been on her course.  fay has been doing her last week at university and is out tonight having a goodbye dinner.  jane has gone out tonight to an 80s disco/musical.
