esther had various exams

i photoed The Pretenders and Stevie Nicks and my pictures were used in the NZ Herald newspaper.  It was quite tricky as we had to stand at the back of the crowd (who were seated) and then they all suddenly stood up meaning we couldn’t see.  so many of my photos were taken holding my camera in the air which is never a great idea.

lots of work and a bit of sunshine.

i was meant to be photoing Take That tonight but i think the lady from Getty Images forgot to ask for a pass.  never mind.  i could do with an early night.

church this morning (jane and kezia doing various youth things and me photoing various thing)

revision /school work

very windy walk at long bay then ride on exercise bike then walking pearl for me

so, the rest of the week was exams, revision, work

jane had a trip to the beach with her school kids on Friday for some orienteering.

today jane and i went to a scottish highland games. 

kezia went to a bonfire last night and is out in town with some friends this evening for a birthday meal

esther goes to takapuna library for her studies these days

esther got a merit in her grade 8 trombone so that’s excellent!  she also had an exam.  so did kezia

jane had a busy day at school as it was her french plays today.  all went well

i had work

yesterday everyone had exams too. and kezia had a choir practice

in the evening i photoed local international music star Lorde at a little music venue.  there were about 15 photographer in a tiny space so it was a bit of a challenge.  luckily i ended up on the front row of the balcony.  And my photos got used by the Daily Mail again (the online Australian version, but the Daily Mail non-the-less!)

exams esther/kezia

here’s the train tunnel – quite deep

esther and jane were up early to walk pearl at long bay

we all had church this morning – jane and kezia were helping out in different bits of the kids groups

i went for a walk this afternoon

everyone else did school work / revision

Esther’s exams start this week and run through to Thursday next week

Kezia’s exames started last week and run through for an extra week beyond esther’s

Esther and i went to her trombone accompanist’s house this afternoon to record her doing one of her pieces again. 

jane went to the gym

i think people did study on wednesday and fay had her last full day.  

thursday i was up at 4.30 to fly down to Christchurch for two hours of meetings.  i then walked for nearly two hours to the airport as i had a bit of spare time and got a sunburnt head.  the weather has been a bit crazy recently so there was snow on the hills as we went down to christchurch which was gone by the time i flew back.

jane had her school sports day at some point and she also got a bit sunburnt

fay flew back home on thursday evening

friday was work (in and out of a conference for me) and jane  had school.  i think the girls have had some music things this week too (tutorials)

today has been chores etc.  i was going to be doing my street photo course but the weather was meant to be too bad, but in fact wasn’t.  although someone’s roof blew on the east coast of the north island.

esther needed a mug shot for her university application so i got my flashes out this evening.  then we all had a go (except jane who was busy doing school work)

here is Fay.  She came back late last night and goes on Thursday.  Just after she arrived about three months ago (!) she asked if i would take a photo of her, so tonight was the night!

i had today off work as esther had her grade 8 trombone exam in the middle of the day which meant a lot of driving back and forth between school etc.  later in the afternoon i went for a walk at long bay

jane and kezia had school

esther did go to school for the beginning of the day where she went to her last ever school assembly!

this evening jane went to school to watch esther do a solo performance on her violin

church and chores.  i went for a walk at long bay and jane went to the gym.   not much else to report
