i worked from home today, but popped out to pick up pearl late afternoon.

i’m photoing Cat Stevens tomorrow night so that will be fun.  although we have to be there at 4.45pm as we’re only photoing the sound check.  so an early night!

jane the girls made it to the UK so that’s good

i had work then ran a photo course

sorry for the missing days. the week has zoomed by

jane had her last week and got lots of presents and nice cards from the kids which was good.  The girls met up with various friends and went to various places

on Tuesday i photoed SIA and the photos have been popping up all round the internet which is nice.  They also appeared in both the New Zealand national newspapers. There were four bands playing and i did my final edits of the images in the car before driving home

on Wednesday evening i popped in to the camera club xmas evening but didn’t stop long as i was too tired and on Thursday evening Esther and I went to the K Rd for the First Thursdays festival to look at all the street activities

Thursday night kezia did some babysitting for a new family.

Saturday after i did my photo course and in the afternoon jane went out for Tracey’s birthday high tea

Saturday evening esther played in a big band outside on a very windy road which made for fun watching their musics blow away and get run over by passing cars!

we all went to bed about 11.30 on Saturday night but were up again at 2.30am to go to the airport.  I got home around 5.30 ish i think .  i’m not sure !  i did have a couple of hours of sleep before heading to church to photo the end of year kids group party.

the girls made it to Sydney ok and have spent the day in a luxury transit lounge which we decided was worth paying for as they are there for 8 hours!

jane went out to her bookclub xmas dinner tonight

kezia and i had a meeting at her school about her italy trip where they gave us more details about her itinerary

i heard that i should be photoing SIA tomorrow night so i’ve had to get all my stuff ready for a night at an outdoor stadium.  a few showers are predicted.  we’ll see

i saw a musician i recognised playing in the street so i took so photos at lunchtime

friday: jane spend the day at Shakespears park with loads of school kids building pathways.  i took pictures of my deadpool guy during my lunchtime.  kezia went to the local school to help with a youth event in to the evening

esther had a band practice at Kumeu for two hours so jane and i walked pearl on the beach and then popped in to see some friends for a cup of tea before picking up esther.

Saturday: esther went in for a breifing on the music part of her university course but it was a bit of a waste of time as she’d already heard the spiel. 

i went and bought esther’s trombone and did various other bits of shopping for things to improve my life.  i also got my earplug back with its little draw string repairs which is handy for extract it from my ear.

jane had her hair done and caught up with Debbie who is back from South Korea

kezia went to a party at the zoo with some friends from church

esther had her singing exam then went out with chums

jane had a good day at school

i had a busy day at work but managed to pop out for Xmas lunch with my photo training chums

i had the day off work to learn about stock photography at getty and to take some pictures of models.

jane had school then came home early as she was ill

esther went in the pool and had a friend over i think

kezia did revision for her last exam tomorrow

this evening jane has taken esther out to look at another trombone which has become available, so she’ll be playing 4 tonight to compare them all, then make her choice!

so esther had her last exam and then went in to school the next day for a singer lesson, followed by a tour of trombone shops with her trombone teacher.  she’s now got two trombones on approval so she can deciude which to go with.

kezia had some more exams and now has only one more to go before she’s all done

jane has been busy with school

i’ve had a crazy busy week at work with lots of things going on

i won a competition at work to get some business tuition on the use of social media for the company that organises my monthly street photography courses.

i thought i might be photoing Take That on Wednesday night but i think the Getty person forgot to ask so that didn’t happen

last night (saturday) i photoed Shawn Mendes and Julia Michaels.  Some of the pictures ended up in the Daily Mail again.   You should read the words of these Daily Mail articles if you get a chance.  This was a classic:

Today was church (jane and kezia doing their kids groups me photoing and podcasting).  Esther wasn’t there as she went to two parties last night, one of which was a sleep over.  This afternoon we all went to Amy’s family 18th birthday party
