quite a wild night with wind and rain. and the wild rain continued most of the day. luckily i was able to work from home so the furthest i’ve been outside is to the letter box.
girls had school. jane did domesticness. esther’s tennis was cancelled. and the girls watched x-factorials.
this morning there was a brief period where the sun shone.
we took the opportunity to go for a massive walk on the massive beach next to our holiday cottage
we got back just as the rain started
and then it rained for most of the rest of the day
but that was fine as we drove along the coast to a cafe we knew for lunch
then we drove the rest of the way back and picked up pearl from the kennels
then this evening it’s been doing back to school stuff for the holidays are now over

we’re expecting a windy time in auckland tonight and tomorrow morning. and most of the rest of the country has warnings too!
saturday evening we drove in to whangarei in the pouring rain to watch some roller derby
a good experience and i think the girls learnt some new swear words from the girl shouting ‘encouragement’ next to where we were sitting!
the referees and score officials were as much part of the spectacle as the players.

there was some early morning car coordination for jane, kezia and me as jane’s car needed its WOF and some mendings.
in the morning jane had a training thing in a house near my office so i got a lift back with her at 1pm which meant we could pick her car up. i worked from home the rest of the afternoon.
kezia had swimming and esther had a party this evening and jane did some skyping.
all very busy
another reflecty walk to work. and lots of busy meetings including a 2 hour one where i was desperate for the loo but was chairing what was being quite a lively meeting so i couldn’t excuse myself!
the girls spent lots of the day with the eaveries and went swimming i do believe
kezia had swimming this evening and jane took pearl rutherford for a walk whilst i stayed at home and filled in various tax documents
this evening jane’s gone to crafty chicks and esther’s at a sleep over.
some shopping for the girls then back here for a friend who didn’t turn up (was invited for the wrong day it turned out)
the girls played crazy golf and jane won. and then they took pearl for a walk on the beach.
then this evening i’ve been to my photo society where the chairman apologised for the harsh judging by the judge last week and especially apologised to new members and assured us it wasn’t always like that!

i don’t know all the details of what happened during the day. but i know kezia had a friend over
and this evening kezia has had swimming and jane has had pearl training and esther has had her church youth group social
and the adults have been driving various animals and people round auckland making sure they are at the right places at the right time

jane’s car went to the garage today and needs lots of work doing on it. it’s going back on friday
there was also some housework and light bulb buying and other domesticy things.
kezia greeted me at the door this evening with brownies she had cooked herself
i had a good day at work and went for a brief walk at lunchtime and a long walk after work with my chum gareth which involved a german wurst store.
i also managed to skype my dad and have a chat with my good chum buzz about diet and things
