i was up early this morning for church sound.  all went well, but i was so tired when i got home i fell asleep outside by the pool!  not bad for mid winter!  i think i was only asleep for 20 minutes and woke up when a rainy looking cloud covered the sun and it got chilly.

then this afternoon i went with buzz to see World’s End at the cinema thanks to some cinema vouchers i had which was great fun

i went shopping at the supermarket next to the cinema afterwards and got talking to lady in the shopping queue who saw my various gluten free products.  she’d just been diagnosed as coeliac and had similar symptoms to me, so that was interesting

then this evening it’s been chores – bins, recycling, sorting which photo to submit for this week’s assessment evening etc

and it continues to be shakey down in wellington.

Hi readers! Well today we went to Reading with the Newells.  The girls were in heaven with so many shops around and even I enjoyed shopping a bit.
Back for lunch and then a walk to the park for old times sake.

Then back to P and P’s where we enjoyed some more badminton before dinner.

This evening I gatecrashed the Arbo music group summer party!

busy day today.  i woke up at 8am (luxury) then spent most of the day working through my to do list

 

i popped out at lunchtime to do a spot of shopping and noticed these flowers in our front garden

i’m pleased to say i successfully cleaned out the guinea pigs and resinstalled windows on my computer

then this evening i met up with Tim who is heading off to australia with work for an unknown time, possibly for a few months meaning this could have been his last proper day in auckland

we started off with chips at new zealand’s once second best fish and chip shop (they are silent on their current ranking)

there’s a big matariki celebration weekend going on down by the waterfront including light installations and a night market.

there was a film playing which people could sit and watch.  it wasn’t too cold (despite it being a mid winter festival), although coats were in order

More bank admin today but we are all sorted now I hope.
Then off to have lunch with Julie and Andrew. Girls stayed at home with Pooch and Party.
Then to the Newells for tea. Good times!

i worked from home today which was very busy.   i had lunch with our pastor, Reuben, at a take away place (so i could eat chips).

then this evening i was invited to dinner at Ken’s from church.  both of those were very nice!

and there was some google hangouting with kezia and esther

Hello.  Another very hot day. We went to the garden centre with Nana and then to Houghton Mill for a picnic. 

Then drove back to Pooch and Party’s via the Eaverys’ and had fun trying out the new badminton racquets.

Kez cleaned the water feature.

up early for work, then long busy day at work.  then home

skyped the girls at my mum’s house (picture above is from google chat with the girls yesterday)

then this evening i watched the apprentice final.  all good.

The morning was spent doing tedious bank admin stuffs.  Then we went to Ian and Carolyn’s for lunch

Then we went off to Nana’s. It was party time. Pass the parcel with forfeits.

up early for work which started with our regular wednesday morning church men’s breakfast group.  then a full day of busy work

on the way back to the bus in the evening i got my glasses mended.  for free!  gotta love specsavers.  and stopped by the supermarket for some essentials

Kezia went to Ruth’s today and went swimming in an outdoor pool. Esther and I had a lovely wander round waitrose and a drink in the cafe. We sat in our usual seats and Esther had an icing finger bun.

Then we helped Granny do some sorting. I was reunited briefly with some old friends before allowing them to be thrown out! (The dollies, not Granny).

This afternoon and evening we have all independently caught up with Twyford friends and Kezia went to English swim training.
