i worked from home today which meant i could keep feeding the washing machine with clothes.  that’s resulted in a laundry-vibe in the living room.  i’ll need to get that all put away tomorrow before pearl reappears.

this evening i went round for a lovely meal with the irvines which was delicious.    then after that i spent an hour with my mum doing remote computer technicianing.

front page news today is the scandal that lots of evil parents take their children out of school so they can get longer holidays and cheaper flights.  who would do such an outrageous thing …

Today we went to Stourhead NT place. We had been  there before, some of us many years ago.

This evening I went to a party with Binkie

once again, a really busy day at work.  i was in at 7am and left after 5.30pm with wall to wall meetings in between.  modern life hey

the exciting thing this morning was a new grey wall which has appeared in front of some desks which has handily blocked out any view of the sky.

this evening i was invited round to our friends the dekwants with the andersons, so that was really nice.  good company.  good food. great confectionary (i didn’t eat any L&P chocolate myself)

Hello. A day of intensive shopping for us today. We got the bus into Bath from right outside the house! Many purchases were made and we were all patient with each other so well done us. Binkie rescued Kezia after lunch and Esther and I stayed a little longer.
We had our tea in a lovely meadow with a stream and a barbecue.

This evening I went for a run with Kevvie. It was a bit slower than his usual pace

i drove in to work today as i ran out of food and needed to make sure i went by the supermarket after work.

Today we were on the road early to meet uni friend Rachel. Great to meet up again.

Then onto the Clarks house where we received a very enthusiastic welcome.

They had made birthday cakes for Esther and me.

We walked up Roundhill and took in the view.

Them home for card games. We are sleeping in the luxury loft extension. Good times.

then i went for a walk round the waterfront with my friend gareth on the way to get the bus home

Kezia went to Hannah’s today and had a great time.

Esther and I spent the day with Rachel and Kim. We went to Henley and went on a boat and had a picnic.

We went out for a meal with Pooch and Party.

What better way to end my birthday to discover I have a royal twin.  Whoop!

i didn’t feel too sick or painful today.  that’s good.  i skipped my morning porridge which might have helped. interesting.

busy day at work.  will spare you the details.  a couple of meetings were cancelled due to colleagues in wellington not being able to get in to the office due to the earthquake.  they are back in to tomorrow though.

then this evening i was invited to our friends up the road’s house for dinner.  they were having casserole which would have been great except for the ingredients so i took up a plate with my own pre-cooked dinner and ate it there.  it was really nice to see them though so that was good.

We went to Arborfield church this morning. It was great to catch up with everyone and we enjoyed the surprised looks and double takes of people who hadn’t realised we were back.
Then off to Brother Edd abd Jacqui’s for a lovely lunch and to meet cousin Finlay for the first time.  Leslie and Marjorie were there too. Excellent.
