busy day today.  i woke up at 8am (luxury) then spent most of the day working through my to do list

i popped out at lunchtime to do a spot of shopping and noticed these flowers in our front garden

i’m pleased to say i successfully cleaned out the guinea pigs and resinstalled windows on my computer

then this evening i met up with Tim who is heading off to australia with work for an unknown time, possibly for a few months meaning this could have been his last proper day in auckland

we started off with chips at new zealand’s once second best fish and chip shop (they are silent on their current ranking)

there’s a big matariki celebration weekend going on down by the waterfront including light installations and a night market.

there was a film playing which people could sit and watch.  it wasn’t too cold (despite it being a mid winter festival), although coats were in order
