I got up at 6am to watch the early morning sun hitting the mountain behind our hotel. It was nice to stand outside in the relative quiet on a footpath on the other side of the street staring at a mountain. Even by 6.30 the street had started to get busy.
We had a speedy breakfast at 7.30 before leaving for our white water rafting where we sat on an inflatable dingy and were guided down the river by a man with muscles. There were two boats in our group and we were in the first. And we were lucky enough to see an elk swimming across the river in front of us.
Back at the hotel we had a very quick turnaround and were back on the bus by 10am to get to dinner at a lake, followed by some free time for wandering by the lake (amazing views). Then we had a boat trip to spirit island where we could see glaciers and more mountains. Quite amazing views which the photos/videos don’t do justice to.
Our final stop of the day was a canyon with a waterfall. That was spectacular too.
We got back to our room around 5.45pm and by 6pm we were walking in to town to go to the biggest laundrette ever. And by 8.15pm we were home again with clean washing 🙂
And we saw various wildlifes.
