that weather bomb i mentioned yesterday is due to arrive tonight.  i went round the garden last night tidying away stuff and lowering the trampoline nets just in case.  and the guineas have relocated to the garage.  probably none of this is necessary, but it didn’t take long and better safe than sorry. read more here .  according to civil defence announcements, we’re told to expect power outages, wave surges, gale-force winds gusting up to 150km/h (though hopefully less in auckland) and heavy rain.  the fun never stops.

if we don’t update tomorrow, we’ve blow(e)n away.

anyway, i went to work today.  here’s my colleague sasha with his feet on my visitor tuffet.   i had to present the culmination of something i’ve been working on for the last 18 months to the Board of the Telecoms industry group.  It was a rather high pressure 45 minutes, but everything got approved and the CEO said it was an ‘outstanding piece of work’! yay.

jane had a prayer meeting this morning then met her chum fleur.  this afternoon has been domesticness.  this evening whilst the girls was swimming she did something like ‘N15’ (i don’t think that’s what it was called) which involved stepping on a step and lifting mini weights.  nope, i’ve no idea either.

right, time to unplug some computers and head for bed.  see ya
