tuesday
we checked out of the holiday, had breakfast on a cafe by the beach at Onetangi then spent a few hours on the beach before getting the ferry home. some more pictures of the holiday house below
the girls had a nice time while we were away. they put up a badminton net and said the pool is now a little too warm!

monday
breakfast at Mudbrick vineyard then a walk round the vineyards near to our house (very hot walk in the midday sun). there was some nice views back to our holiday house at the top of the hill

sunday
walk in a forest up to some waterfalls which were a little underwhelming and it was very hot and humid (26 degrees C i think)
then rest of the day on the beach. then in the evening we went to a local cinema to watch Sink Of Swim. the cinema is very cute and very relaxing as you sit on sofas. Apparently you can take your own wine and fish and chips in too if you like!

saturday
jane and i got the car ferry to waiheke from silo park. we drove to a local nature reserve and sat under a tree for an hour and listened to the tuis who were busy squabbling over pohutaka leaves.
in the afternoon we got in to our holiday house, then went to explore the local beaches.
