pohutakawa’s are coming out.  must be christmas!

i had a really busy but good day of meetings at work

 

jane had a bit of a quieter day at school and afterwards did driving the girls around.   esther had a violin lesson

i went to takapuna for a couple of hours as kezia’s swimming lesson was in the sea today

after they’d done various running arounds and swimming they had a picnic and play on the beach.  i didn’t mind as i had a chat with some of the other swim dads

then this evening we watched some family telly (the choir)

busy day at work, but i got some good feedback from my boss on a couple of different things i’ve been working on so that was nice

i went to a seminar after work on the various internet related laws which are happening in New Zealand.  Rather than giving us seats the audience of around 30 of us had to stand up in a rather hot entrance lobby to a law firm which was a bit weird/informal/hot/tiring.

kezia had swimming this evening.  esther had her orchestra but had to leave early for a concert band workshop

this evening esther has been making a spanish cake for school

there was a nice wall in the carpark this evening so i took a few selfies as the moustache will be gone by the end of the weekend

i moved desk today so i’m now back exactly where i was sitting two years ago, only more squashed in and with less light!

i met Phil today and he’s doing well so that’s good

after work i went up to see Warren’s new grave stone with James and Skip

And i got an honours for this picture at the camera club this evening

jane had school and is doing christmas cards this evening.  they popped by warren’s grave earlier in the evening

esther was going to go with her youthgroup to pack some christmas boxes, but she was the only one who turned up so decided not to go

esther also got excellent in all her spanish exams and the teacher said she’s done brilliantly

school/work.  tennis, swimming whilst jane and I had chips on the beach then a walk

just school, work, big band and general tiredness

i got another copy of my giraffes picture printed and mounted only to get it back and find a scratch across the picture.  so that will have to go back. shame

another scorching hot day today

jane, kezia and i went to the santa parade in town this afternoon

kezia had a good sleep over last night and we picked her up before church

then this evening we went to esther’s friend amy’s house for a BBQ tea (esther had been there all afternoon for a party)

here’s everyone except amy blowing out her birthday cake!

esther won both her tennis matches today

gorgeous day so there was some pool cleaning and john came round to put some retainers on the upstairs windows (can you see him?)

this afternoon Tim came over as he’s in new zealand for a few days, and this evening esther and i watched some doctor who documentary whilst jane did lots of school preparation

kezia’s been at a party all day and it’s a sleep over …

jane seemed to have a not too busy work day.  esther had a violin lesson and kezia had swimming

i worked from home but popped out to a picture framing place at lunchtime to work out how to present printed pictures at the photo club for this wednesday

and since it’s gone nice and warm the girls went in the pool

which got pearl very excited!

i’ve no idea what the girls did today as i’ve not seen them all day

i was up at my usual early hour meaning just 5 hours sleep last night

then after work i went to the NZ Music awards as a work jolly

we had VIP tickets so were sitting amongst the famous (for new zealand) and i was pleased to recognise lots of them

here’s brett from flight of the conchords winning a prize for his charity song last year

and here’s Lorde collecting one of her many awards.  she also sang Royals at the start of the evening (picture at the top of the page)
