it’s mother’s day today, but all our children were absent this morning so jane went for a run with pearl instead
the day started with church and bass playing for me, followed by lots of equipment dragging around afterwards
this afternoon (what was left of it) was
kezia went to her friends house this morning and esther is on a sleepover
so jane and i went for a walk at piha up a very high cliff and then even higher before coming down a steep slippery-clay path
it was hard work, but a great walk
then this evening we went to our friends Biffy and Malcolm’s for dinner which was great!
i joined the legal team for their team day today which involved sitting around listening to talks, guessing who was who in photos of teenagers (mine below, aged about 17 i think?)
my boss was doing a talk and randomly included my picture in a slide without me knowing
jane had a busy day at school. this evening kezia had swimming and was picked up by Jordan who was babysitting.
esther was out too as she’s got a music workshop this weekend. there was a practice this evening and she’s staying overnight at a friend’s house
kezia needed a babysitter because jane and i went out to see Rhys Darby at the Civic Theatre (where we went to see Mama Mia a few weeks back with my mum). he was excellent, though plenty of swearing (normal for new zealand) and we had great seats
we managed to grab a meal before hand too
a very pleasant evening!
i worked from home which was good as i could have an extra two hours in bed.
jane had a busy day at school then took kezia to a swimming competition. kezia did two races and got two personal bests, so that was great.
somewhere along the way jane also picked up esther from a friend’s house and dropped off her overnight stuff as she’s staying there tomorrow after school.
i had a band practice tonight. And my certificate came for my Licentiate

busy days all round again. jane had school and preparation all evening
esther had a trombone lesson at home this evening. kezia had violin and then she and i went to an exhibition opening. it was run by the Korean Photographic Society and my friend Nori had organised it. there were quite a few people from my usual camera club so that was nice for chatting.
esther’s at youth this evening and i’ve eaten an apple to see what it does to my stomach. i’m working from home tomorrow so it was an ideal time.
in all my excitement of backdated photos i forgot to say what we actually did. and now it’s a day later i can’t quite remember.
jane spent the hours of 4pm to 7pm driving around dropping off and picking up the girls
i ran a three hour workshop which was fairly successful i think, despite a phone call from a colleague on Friday telling me the key document was a load of rubbish (she used a stronger word). although to be fair she did soften her views when i said i had written it!

pearl went to doggy daycare and her scab fell off under her t-shirt during a playfight with a friend. hey ho.
everyone went back to school and i have masses of ulcers on my tongue making speaking tricky. i need sleep

and also here are two new galaxy S5 phones which i won in a competition at work. one for me and one for Buzz
church (me doing sound and photography for baptism) and Tim visiting.
