the box above was sent to me in the infernal mail at work. it was full of big christmas cards for various contacts. rather than just signing their name people were writing big messages to people. physical cards and hand written messages are things of history in the modern british office as far as i was aware, so nice to see the tradition lives on in new zealand.
i had a progress meeting with my boss today and she thought i was doing ok which is good.
meanwhile everyone else in the household had good days at school and jane has even been offered a few extra classes next year as someone is off on sabbatical for a few weeks. so she’s pleased they asked her.
i saw this leaflet for a gun near the house where a police man lives round the corner from us. not sure if that’s good or bad
here’s my office look. i live on the top floor of the tower with ‘telecom’
written on it. i’m somewhere under the ‘m’
after work i went to Christmas drinks on the viaduct with our industry group
is had a good chat with various people which was my purpose for going. this boat went out just as i arrived
i got the bus home and walked back from the park and ride. on the way i phoned the fish and chip shop to place an order and the lady said “have you got cash”, i answered yes, and she said “well, walk here quickly as i want to go home”. so i did. fish and chips were good but i was quite tired.
