Day 44 – Montmorency Falls and Québec

Today we went on a bus tour which took in a few places nearby including a chocolate shop on a giant island, a family factory where they bash copper to make nice things for church doors etc, a fancy catholic church where people go on pilgramages (and where you could buy souvenirs then take them to a place to get them blessed by a priest), and finally the main draw card – the Montmorency Falls (which are taller than the niagra falls).

As it was a bus tour we were strictly limited to one hour so we didn’t have time to go on the cable car to the top, but we did zoom round the walk ways and got completely soaked standing near the bottom of the falls on the walk way.

When we got back to Quebec we went in to the chateau for a mooch about and had a drink in the posh bar so we could pretend to be fancy.

This evening we ate dinner in a place which translates as guinea pigs (i had burger, not sure what animal), then we listened to band, and went on a wander up a street we hadn’t seen yet.
