Day 41 – Mont Tremblant

Today we went on the Mont Tremblant and The Laurentians Tour. This involved being picked up from our hotel at 7.30am (which allowed us enough time to convince the hotel kitchen to give us some breakfasts bits in a bag).

After some messing to actually get to the tour bus starting point, the trip was good and took in some lakes and the big draw card which was Mont Tremblant – Montreal’s big local ski field. We got various cable cars to the top of the hill / mountain, had a wander round, then came back down. It then took three hours to drive back to Montreal – much of it stuck in traffic.

This evening we (with a large proportion of Montreal) went out to watch the fireworks competition in the harbour. It’s the biggest firework competition in the world and this evening’s presentation was by the Japanese team. It was very impressive.

On the way back to the hotel we had an ice-cream. The temperature during the day has been around hte 34C mark, and it felt like high 20s this evening so we thought we deserved it.
