Day 33 – Twyford

At breakfast, Jane’s dad said he’d heard I was overweight and I explained this was the effects of two weeks of hotel buffets in Japan and easy access to chocolate while in the UK.  He then clarified he meant my luggage was over weight, not me !

And with that Jane and I laid out our entire luggage and went through everything to decide what items we dont need for the rest of the trip.

That resulted in us driving to Camberley to visit a post shop who would wrap and send our excess baggage back home in a cardboard box.

On the way back we went by Jane’s old flat to see if her friend /landlord was there, and she was!

This evening I’ve been out with my old housemate /good friend Paul. We went for a walk round thr outskirts of Twyford which included walking through fields of small ponies,  and finding not one but two pairs of lost glasses (which I tried on for size). And then dinner in an Italian restaurant.

Jane meanwhile had dinner with her parents and now we’re all sitting round watching / listening to the leadership debate on telly in anticipation of the impending British election (which we’ll miss because we leave next Monday)

Pictures and videos coming soon
