monday – auckland anniversary day

public holiday today. perfect weather

jane and the girls went to the beach with chums

i went to the Laneway music festival in town with my next door neighbour and his cousin.  it was a scorching day and after 7 hours in the sun we decided to head home.  and i’m now listening to the headline ‘tame impala’ live on the radio rather than squashed in a carpark with 10,000 other people.  probably for the best.

it was one of those concerts where you’re glad there’s a safety fence between you and the band, to keep the band from coming in to the crowd (which they still managed to).

here’s the finale including the forced removal of guitar strings and chuck-age
