more house busyness

i didn’t get much sleep last night and left home at 6 to get to the office early (at my desk by 6.30) so i could leave early.  the day at work was really busy with various meetings, a training course, a load more work assigned to me (good)  and a 2 hour session with some lawyers on the 30th floor of a building down town

i left early to meet the building surveyor at the house we’re thinking of buying.  he was very complimentary about the house and said he couldn’t fault hardly anything which was good going !  Carl, a friend from church, came along with me for moral support and also to give us an unbiased view.  it passed his test.

and this evening we got our mortgage pre-approval and swapped various emails with our lawyer and our the estate agent.  and did some preparation for international money shuffling.

the auction is thursday morning.  wonder if we’ll be brave enough to bid.  gulp

jane’s had a manic day too as it’s been parents evening.  all went well i think and she got to meet Tim Finn as his son is one of jane’s pupils.  she got back quite late from that.

my mum is staying in a hotel in auckland this evening as her tour comes back through town.  i spoke to her this evening and she seemed in good health having had a nice time in the sun at the waitangi treaty place today.
