Definitely No1:
Lovely context and panorama,
with just a hint of subtle colour
#1 is quite striking. Now that I have recalled my password I will be able to comment instead of always lurking.
The color contrast in the first one helps the composition. While I agree on the rule of thirds mostly, I like the composition of this one as well.
