the plan is to walk the thames path with jane's parents. jane's mum (known to the girls as poochy) is an expert on wild life which is extremely useful !

Poochy (or maybe it was Poochie?) used to be a cartoon character dog back in the day. We had a dog once named Poochie. And I had a colouring book at one time of the cartoon.
i think that's where the name came from (indirectly though via jane). there's a story there somewhere.
