i've just had my place confirmed for this year's London Marathon.
i've committed to raise £1,500 for the Outward Bound Trust
i'll do more of an appeal in a few weeks time, but those who wish to sponsor me now can go to my justgiving page.
i consider myself a lazy non-sporty type, so this is going to prove very interesting !

Now is this marathon as in walking or as in running?
And don't tell us you're also going to use your Doc Martens for this.
i plan to walk it (i've checked and that's allowed).
i had planned to wear my doc's and my usual work clothes (trousers, shirt, tie, jumper) but now i'm not sure if that's a really good idea of not.
i've read a few websites on training for walking marathons and there seems to be a bit more to it than i'd imagined !
