i've seen this before - in the park up near Ladysmith, Wisconsin USA, they take the actual swings down for winter then decorate the posts.
you could be right, but i've never seen it done in the UK before.
a child swinging on these swings in Hellensborough (near Glasgow) could look out to the estury and watch nuclear submarines floating by.
how could they deny that pleasure to small children ?
