have you heard of the boobahs ? i bought a DVD of them for 2 last week and esther and kezia love them.

as a parent you usually have at least an idea of what is going on in a program, but the boobahs is just too random for words. it's fantastic. as is their website. Apparently it's educational.

i have a theory about this kind of program - the creators, producers and commissioners of this type of program are probably of the 60s generation who experimented with psychedlic drugs. they are now passing on their 'experiences' through the media of kids TV.

here are esther and kezia on the sofa (under a blanket) mesmerised:

Boobahs are exactly as you described. The first (and only) time I saw them, I was quite dumbfounded. It was if I was watching Parallel Dimension TV. Words don't do it justice, especially mine. I won't let my kids watch it; I don't think they want to anyway.

I have lots of toy boobahs, i think there kinda cool?!

I think there so funny, i may be 11, but when your my age, these things that are for babies/little kids, there classed as cool!!!

When I first heard about the Boobahs, I couldn't picture obese little puppets dancing like wild banshees but when I finally got the pleasure of seeing it myself, I couldn't help but start to laugh. I was mezmorized by its high class(cough cough) and particularly took note of the noises they made that sounded like severe flatulence. In some twisted way, I almost wanted to learn the Boobah dance and perform it for my friends. I will always have a special (yet odd)place in my heart for the weird little things.

Well, I can't use any words to describe that weird expression on my face when I saw those....things......on television. I don't see how they are educational at all. In fact, I watch it just for laughs when I need to amuse myself. The sad thing is somebody made money off of those things.

I LIKE VICKI FIND BOOBAHS AMUSING.SAD IS`NT IT?BUT WHAT IS WORSE IS HAVING A THIRTEEN YEAR OLD SON WHO FIRST RUBBISHED THE PROGRAMME FOR BEING FOR BABIES,IS NOW RUSHING HOME FROM SCHOOL TO WATCH IT IN FITS OF LAUGHTER.ITS MAKING ME THINK WETHER IT IS SENDING OUT SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES AND ONCE WATCHED YOUR HOOKED!!!

funkypancake said:

but what would those messages be and why ? for a true conspiracy we need a motive. what are the boobahs trying to make us do ?

perhaps they are turning us in to zombies and we will find their true purpose at a later date ?

or maybe they realy ARE aliens and the boobahs is actually a documentary ?

i was first introduced to "boobahs" through "rainbow trip", which is exactly what the title describes. if you haven't already played this flash "game", try it. it's definitely better when under the influence of something... i only recently found out that boobahs are actually a tv show. my sister and i had to watch it just cuz it's soooo ridiculous. i've only seen it once, but i loved it. haha i don't see how they can be subliminal or anything, but there are tons of sites that think they're part of a conspiracy... haha right. boobahs were probably created for tripping out in the first place...

when I first saw the flash cartoon I thought it was just that...a made up computer cartoon set to amuse people...but then I heard it's an actual show?! gawd those things are psychedlic. they should mate with the teletubbies, then the fun would really start

i luv boobahs. well, me and my friend mary love it as a joke. almost everyday we go out and sk8 4 a few hours, then go back 2 my house and watch the show. we start cracking up, cuz of the weird noises they make, the dances, and cuz they look ridiculous. we laugh through the whole show, and our eyes start 2 water so bad, tears r going down our cheeks. i awayz thought that this show wuz 4 babies, until mary and i were channel surfing, and decided 2 watch the gayest looking show on. since then, we've been hooked. we've gotten other people at skool hooked on it 2.

i think they are like those things on spy kids one. you kno where they are humans transformed and if you break the code they are really saying "help us, HELP US!!"
but there is a realy cool game of them on ebaumsworld.com!

hi, just a reminder than i'm not responsible for stuff on others' sites linked to from here. be careful out there ...

They are sending out subliminal messages for sure, but who knows what exactly except for those making the show, and possibly PBSKids for purchasing it... Not sure if its a good message or bad one, ie: become self destructive and kill yourself and others when you grow up, or a message of love and tollerance. But anyone that knows anything about subliminal messages will clearly see that this program works on your mind when it comes to the audio tracks, and the Boobahs are clearly made in such a way that parents just think it's a bunch of silly colored blobs on the screen bouncing around and the parents pass it off as just another stupid kids show...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, i watched it!!!!

I think they are harmless. The very simple, goofy way they act is appealing to little ones who have very little language skills at an early age, not much thinking is required and they are relaxed to watch it. Hence the idea of them being mesmerized.

I think the Boobahs are scarey, i watched it on saturday on bbc 2 i think and it woz doing some freaky lil dance and they scared me soooo much!! They have no mouth just big scarey eyes and there really fat... i just think there scarey and so do most of my friends!

I too have played Rainbow Trip, and this morning, while watching my baby nephew, became aware of the TV show. Simply put, it has become obvious to me that the show's 'Storyboard Writers' are abusing halluncigenic drugs and the show itself is designed either to induce or enhance a trip/high. So parents, drop something hard and trip to boobahs, your kids will love you for it.

as a mother of a five yr.old i of course know what the boobahs are.my girlfriend has a 2 yr.old and i was once babysitting for her and turned them on for her.i couldn't beleive how amazing it was to watch her watch them!!she was fascinated and entranced to say the least!!
so since my son thinks he's too big for them i just love knowing that i turned my friends daughter into a boobah lover.
in case people don't know what the heck a boobah is;they are supposed to be molecules!?go figure?
whatever is what i say ,kids sure love the weird little creatures!!!

i think that boobahs is great for little ones because my sis sits there all day watching it.

People say over and over that they make them laugh...that Boobahs are weird, fat, and most of all funny...they make one giggle hysterically. Well, in a world like ours, it doesnt hurt to be silly, crazy, weird and laugh hysterically. I give Boobahs two thumbs up. Sometimes we all need a good laugh. I could use one, so, does anyone know what time they come on out here in Southern California? I have never seen them and would like to. Thanks!

I have four daughters and none of them ever liked tv til they were over a year old(nick jr). One day at lunch time, i turned on boohbahs and my 10 month old and she was hooked, she didnt move her head for a whole 30 min. she laughed out loud, it was so cute it made me smile. Let it be, what it is, a show for babies, toddlers, and older kids too and they all seem like it. For the first time, I will have a theme for my daughters first birthday something she loves.
