i not only know what jane did today, but i’m going to tell you!

she went for a 9 mile run this morning then took the girls to a ‘pet expo’.  then came home, had a power nap and did fantastic tidying for my work chums who came round for a party.

kezia had her swimming lesson first thing but was back in time for the pet expo.

i was at church from 9.15-12.45 to test a new sound system which seems to work nicely.  we’re trying it in the service tomorrow so we’ll have a better idea then whether it’s any good.

this afternoon i dropped off kezia for a sleep over party and the rest of us have been eating party left overs and watching british TV programs.

i had lunch with my good friend buzz today. it’s always great to catch up for a chat and a chance to put the world to right.

otherwise a rather manic day at work where the team mucked in to support a colleague who had a deadline to hit this afternoon.

jane did tell me what she did, but i’ve forgotten.  there was some ladies prayer meeting involved

this evening jane and esther went off to the millennium pool for esther’s swimming lesson and jane’s gym class.

kezia and i drove over to her swimming friend’s house and then we went off to a different pool for kezia’s lesson.  i was going to watch a film on my ipad but it hadn’t uploaded so i read a book instead.  the book was excellent so that was good.

and now of course it’s now.  it often is.

nice crisp morning today with a bit of fog about.  and boxes of free daffodils in the middle of auckland

my day started with coffee with my new friend phil, then i was preparing for a three hour meeting over lunch, which i then had. 

the meeting was quite arguey which was amusing and made it go faster.  i volunteered to be the project lead going forward so that’s exciting as it’s quite a high profile external project.  what can possibly go wrong.  gulp

jane did school, then went back to kristen with kezia’s class to see the dress rehearsal of Guys and Dolls which was good i think.

then this afternoon i had a coffee with another colleague. and this evening i’ve been out with warren whilst jane took kezia to swimming and esther to netball.

esther’s team won their last netball game of the season and had a celebration in mcdonalds

i ate a kebab with warren whilst being overlooked by the all blacks

Jane ran mainly music this morning as the person who usually does it was unable to do it at the last minute.  then she had coffee with a friend.

esther and kezia had their violin lessons

i met up with jane and kezia whilst esther was violining. jane spotted the tide was out so we went to a nearby beach which has a little island which is cut off from the beach except at low tide.  and we made the crossing

kezia has always wanted to go to this island (“well, not always, but i did want to go”)

this being new zealand there was a sign saying unstable cliffs with a handy climbing rope attached nearby!

then this evening jane did her gym cycling thing and esther and kezia cooked up some pizzas

i had breakfast with a new chap from church and then a busy day at work.

jane had her church music job and managed to go to the church team meeting too which was good

this afternoon she’s started narrowing down the hound selection.  more news when a suitable beast has been found – there’s possibility of one, but we’re waiting for a call.

kezia and jane went to Brown Bay where we found out later there was a whale and calf floating about, but they didn’t spot it.  and esther had tennis

a wave of tiredness has hit us all so early nights for the olds i think

jane did some running, went shopping, visited a poorly friend and did some garage tidying.  the girls went to school and kezia had swimming. 

i had my church men’s breakfast then had a busy but good day at work. this evening we finished off the garage tidying

this evening we had life group and jane went out to a Mainly Music meeting.

that’s all.

church this morning (i was playing bass) with various excitements.  we were brave and invited a chap and another chap and his wife back, but the wife was off singing in a barber shop choir somewhere so it was just the two chaps.  it was jolly good.

then this afternoon we went round an open home which was in the house on the other side of the road from us.  kezia stayed in our house by the window and we spent most of the time waving at her from different rooms.

kezia had flippa ball (2-4 loss today) and jane’s been really busy in the garage.

this evening we watched some telly and now it’s now.  the  end.

jane went to a church ladies breakfast this morning whilst kezia went off to play with a friend.  esther and i ran an errand.

then most of the rest of the day was spent sorting boxes in the garage and lifting them up in to our loft space.  esther and i went to mitre10 and bought some shelving which i spent all afternoon constructing.

this evening we had colin and lynne (probably spelt wrong) from church and from up our street for dinner.  they also showed us their photos from a recent european cruise which was really nice.  although it made us a little jealous of all the places they’ve visited which we hadn’t

and now it’s now.

i worked from home today as kezia had the day off to get properly recovered from her lurgy.  we popped out at one point and saw this TV and microwave waiting for a bus.

jane had her prayer meeting then shopping then school work.  this evening she went to the gym whilst esther was having her swimming lesson.

i went to a church’s men’s meeting with Warren and now it’s now.

it was raining this morning.  kezia was feeling better so went to school, but then jane got a call at 10 asking her to collect her as she was feeling ill again. there are loads of lurgies going round at the moment, so we’ll keep her at home tomorrow too so she gets proper better.

jane went to the gym (before getting the call from kez’s school) then has done some amazing tidying work round the house

esther went to a maths competition this evening.  she didn’t win but had fun

and then i had a church band practice this evening.
