jane work, girls school, esther orchestra rehearsal, jane crafty chicks, kezia swimming. me hectic but fun day at work
all tired
kezia is back from camp so we had pancakes (and we forgot it was pancake day yesterday)
i went to a prayer thing at church which meant i arrived at the park and ride bus stop 20 minutes later than usual. by then all the parking spaces were gone so i decided to drive in to town. and in the end the journey took me 90 minutes, which it’s normally around 30 max.
and then when i got to work i realised i’d left my pass at home. the rest of the day was spent in an all day workshop with government talking about planning rules for fibre to the home and mobile networks.
the girls had good days though jane and kezia are very tired. me too.
esther has gone out to church youth
and i popped in to some silos as i walked by to look at an exhibition and takes some pictures of the roof!
kezia’s off on school camp for a few days
my colleague at work moved to another department so i relocated to his desk which is a lot warmer than mine as it’s further away from the air vent
jane and i went for a walk on takapuna beach this evening while esther was having her concert band practice
and it rained a bit and felt a bit chilly all day
and our visitors are nearly here (one week to go for the first set)
i was at church at 7.30 this morning to listen to some drum microphones but had to skip the service itself as i was feeling a bit sick
then this afternoon (after a good sleep) i went with some photo club friends to Matakana to do some photoing
i met this chap in the street who insisted on showing me his garden which was full of beer cans and rubbish he was trying to sell. he was delighted to have someone to talk to and who liked to take pictures of his stuff. he even let me take his photo.
jane and the girls had church this morning
then this afternoon kezia had a friend over to finish their science project
jane did school preparations
kezia also got her bag ready for school camp
and esther had a 4 hour concert band workshop
the day started with breakfast at a cafe
then a wander down to a farmers market. the mornings are starting to get a bit cool as summer draws to a close, but things warm up by the afternoon
esther had tennis. i watched her doubles match. she lost both her matches today but the other team are known to be really good and esther’s team lost by less than they did last year!
then this afternoon kezia had a friend over to do some joint homework project
jane and esther were also doing homework so i drove over to Kumeu to go to their county show, but i was a week early!
so instead i went to muriwai to take a few snaps
i had a nice wander round and explored a few areas i’d not been to before
there were quite a few big star fishes about
but most of the gannets have grown up and gone
another gorgeous morning.
everyone had school today except jane who had a day off thanks to the school camps this week.
kezia had swimming this evening and jane, esther and pearl went for a walk
i took some fund raising chocolates in to work today to raise some funds for esther’s trip, but they weren’t very popular due to someone having an afternoon tea which over catered on sweet things. there was plenty of fairy bread left!
jane’s back. and so is pearl.
kezia had a day of swimming competitions and either won or came second in all her races. her friend from her swimming squad was the only person who beat her.
The day started early with dropping kezia off at janine’s house at 7am so i could get to my 9am meeting, which went well.
the students were doing some rag week activities in the supermarket and asked me if i could take their photo. i said certainly, took a picture with my camera and walked off. they seemed a bit confused.
jane was pretty tired from school camp but we both went to drop off kezia at swimming then we went to takapuna beach cafe before picking up esther from an orchestra practice, then picking up kez from swimming.
