found tea bag
school, work. massive rain showers. jane parents evening.
found photo
autumn in action
work for all. a couple of new pieces of work for me. one is a pain with a short deadline, the other will take longer and should be interesting.
jane had another parents evening tonight and has been doing lots of school preparation as usual
kezia had the dentist and violin
i had a committee meeting for the camera club photo competition which kicks off next month
and some of my colleagues spent ages playing shadow puppets on the wall behind me
church sound for me. kezia went to church directly from her friend’s house (with her friend).
jane and esther went for a walk with the labrador club where all the dogs looked the same. but we got pearl back again.
this afternoon we did chores
and this evening esther and i went to see Noah the movie as part of a church visit. it wasn’t quite what i was expecting!
kezia had her saturday morning 5.30am swimming lesson
this morning i did some garden repairing which involved buying a big plank of wood and cutting it in half.
kezia went to her friend’s house for a sleep over at midday and this afternoon jane and esther went to janine’s house to arrange a fund raising musical soiree
meanwhile i went out photoing with Mike in Auckland where there was a free music concert on featuring Lord Echo
it’s great that it’s still so lovely and warm and it’s still April!
then this evening jane, esther and I went to see Cuba Fury at the cinema. everyone loved it, although esther thought jane and me thought it was funnier than her!
here’s award winning musician lawrence arabia in the crowd!
i worked from home today so i could catch up on a bit of sleep. it mostly worked.
jane walked pearl with her friend on Orewa beach and there was a pack of Labradors there having fun (for them) by the sounds of it
the girls had school, esther had orchestra and kezia had swimming
and i found out today i achieved my Licentiateship from the New Zealand Photographic Society. It’s not officially granted until the 26th April, but when it is i’ll be able to add LPSNZ after my name to match my LRPS from the Royal Photogaphic Society.
Here is the panel of photos i put in to be assessed.
so, i was up at 3.45am to get to the airport for 5.30 to get the 6am flight to wellington
here’s an excellent news update on the bus. ‘something happened then it stopped happening’
the flight was only slightly bumpy and wellington was cold but lovely and calm
i was there to appear before a government select committee. i was very worried about speaking, but i needn’t have worried as my boss did all the talking and i just sat there.
he loves doing that kind of thing and he was pleased with all the preparation i’d given him so everyone was happy
i arrived back in auckland at 5pm so drover over to Onehunga to look at the shop windows until the traffic had died down a bit
in the evening i went to camera club and got honours for each of my three photos, and won print of the week for one them (i’ll put them in thursday post)
i still haven’t found out what the the rest of the family did yesterday, so it’ll have to remain a mystery (unless jane writes something in the comments)
hello. i was up at 3.45am and have just got home at 10pm having been to wellington and camera club. will do a proper update tomorrow when my brain is properly awake. see ya
