early start for me as a load of tractors were due to arrive at the church hub at 7.30am.  they eventually arrived at 8

they are doing a charity drive from the bottom of the south island to the top of the north to raise money for local hospices

our church put on breakfast for them before they continued on their way.  i was the official photographer and then had to rush home to get a few photos ready for us to share at church 45 minutes later.  unfortunately they had computer trouble so i needn’t have rushed, but it was good to get them edited anyway

after church jane did supermarket shopping

and everyone has had homework

so i went for a walk at Long Bay

i’m off down to Wellington tomorrow for a meeting so need to get myself organised

jane had a school teacher training day thing today so was at school for training with teachers and things

esther had a korean drumming practice at 9am

and kezia went to a friends house for the day and did some school work

i went for a short walk round the pacifica festival

and popped in to the zoo for 15 minutes on the way (it was next door).  the tiger was out and about

on the way back i got a text from esther saying she’d finished her practice and was about to get on a bus so i picked her up on the way back which was convenient

this evening we went to see The Lady In The Van and were reminded of england

school, work

it’s my turn to collect the post for my floor at work next week but i swapped with a colleague for monday as i’m in wellington.  so that involved walking up and down 7 flights of stairs several times with a heavy mail bag.

esther had a korean drumming practice and a landscape gardener design lady came round to look at our garden

this evening we watched X+Y which was good.

i got my concert review written first thing then had a busy day at work

kezia’s gone to youth this evening

school for all, including jane getting a nice note from her headmaster saying she was doing a good job!

i waited for esther at the bus station for half an hour this evening before remembering she told me she was getting a different bus home

i’ve been too tired to go to camera club this evening so am having an early night

i worked from home today as i had bad stomach pains last night and felt too sick to go in to work.  i managed a day of working from home though and felt well enough by the end of the day to go out to the Sufjan Stevens concert i’d agreed to review (because i couldn’t get a photo pass)

the girls had school etc

work, school, big band.  fancy dinner. early night (for me)

jane sang in the church band this morning and i did the podcast

this afternoon was lots of indoor and outdoor admins to get our pool to pass its inspection

kezia came back from her camp very tired

jane, esther and i went to the carabosse fire festival in auckland this evening and it was great

jane met up with debbie this morning for a walk and a chat

esther had a rehearsal for her korean singing group (i think)

john, our next door neightbour, came round mid morning just after i’d finished editing my photos from last night. he brought round a wooden contraption which should keep the pool inspectors happy and avoid us having to remove an outside tap

kezia needed dropping off in takapuna for a music camp with her choir. we arrived a bit early so went for a walk along takapuna beach

i spent the rest of the day working from home and at 4pm found out i’ve got a photo pass for the band i’ve got a ticket to see tonight so that’s great

jane and esther had school and esther had tennis after school

kezia pointed out this sign says ‘ass age’
