day of doing – homeworks, music practices, photo editing, shopping, getting ready for tomorrow’s sausage extravaganza

kezia went out to the church quiz night and jane and i stayed at home and watched a film

school and work for all except esther who had a school geography trip to posh omaha beach where they did various measurements.  one involved throwing a tennis ball in the sea and seeing where it floated off to.  it was done in the name of understanding sustainability but the tennis pool floated away so that wasn’t very sustainable

we’ve booked the decking man for end of August and a different man came and ripped out lots of our bushes and trees.

this evening i baked some brownies for a work competition tomorrow

work, school for all

the girls did a performance with their different groups at a retirement home near school after school

i found a passport photo at lunchtime when i went out to buy some more elastic bands for our mouse traps

my birthday today.  hoorah.

pearl’s birthday yesterday so she got some free things from dodgy day care.  it’s a stick and hoop (both edible)

jane had a busy school day.  both girls had music things at school until late.

the girls were up at 5am this morning to get their place at the carboot sale.  they did well until a massive thunderstorm and i both arrived just after 9am.

jane went home and i stayed with the girls for a bit until we realised lots of other people were packing up and we went for some chips

when we got back to the car half an hour later the weather had cleared up a bit so we set up shop again for another couple of hours until the rain came through again and we came home.  the girls are raising money for their choirs trip to Dunedin next month.

this afternoon everyone has been doing school work and i tidied lots of long overdue papers away

preparing for car boot sale tomorrow.   party (esther).  shopping (esther and jane).  school works (all ladies).  new window replacement for the one with dog flap which pearl never used but which flapped in the wind.  trip to the zoo (dave using the last few days of his season pass)

school, work (bit late as had to let the spider man in)

this evening jane and  i went to see Lawrence Arabia at a venue we’ve not been to before called the Crystal Palace.  Amazing, but cold!

i had a work off-site meeting today which was good but exhausting.  then camera club this evening where i got honours for the picture above and highly commended for the one below

girls had school, kezia had youth, esther has gone to watch some concert this evening straight after school
