jane met her new class for the first time and they seem nice so that’s all good!

esther and kezia had their first day back at school.  it was just an admin day so lots of hanging round.  in fact they had to hang around so long that Kezia and her friend went to the music department and helped with odd jobs there instead of sitting around doing nothing. 

The girls had a symphony workshop after school

i was up early for work feeling rather exhausted from the day before.  my computer at work was having a bad day too!

in the evening i edited down the 1500 photos i took to 250 for the people to choose their final 100 and jane did school prep

I ended up working 10am to 9.30pm at the Laneway festival taking pictures of people drinking/enjoying craft beers in a beer garden in a corner of the festival site.  it was actually a nice little corner almost completely covered with trees which was perfect for such a hot day and made photoing easy.  i got home exhausted and went to be

Jane stayed at home and did school preparations.  Esther went in to town with some friends to look round Auckland Port which was open as it was anniversary weekend.  she’s now full of all sorts of facts about shipping and containers!

sorry busy day/night again.  will get round to updating last few days at some point!

i ended up working nearly 12 hours taking photos of people drinking beer today.  as a result you’ll have to wait until tomorrow for an update on what we did today!

up early for church bass playing then hat shopping (sun smart and camera friendly), then back home to do the podcast and sort out my various bags and equipments for tomorrow

the girls were at festival one all day tomorrow and are driving back as i type

jane went so i walked pearl, did some bass practice, went to a tattoo and car show, went to watch a busker from up high, then went down to ground level and watched a band play.

then i came home for a late lunch before going to Long Bay for walk.  This evening it’s been watering the garden (i hate doing that) and editing photossorry there are so many of them.  it’s quantity not quality as usual!

 

jane and the girls left after 7 to pick everyone else up then drive down to Hamilton for festival one.

strange day at work.  chinese dragon celebrations and a colleague bought me a cake for helping at a meeting!

i also met with the company who i’m photoing for on Monday and had a good meeting so i know what i’ve got to do and it all sounds good fun although it might be a long day

esther went to school for a briefing day for new prefects

jane had her last teacher only day before the kids start next tuesday

this evening the girls have been packing for their two days at a christian music festival in hamilton and i’ve been sorting out photos business related things, including a couple of posters i’m selling to an MP!

i had work and met up with my chum ivan at lunch. this evening i had a band practice

jane had school and had a year 8 social thing after for the teachers

kezia went out for the day with a friend

esther had a friend round and watched loads of sherlock
