st patricks day so lots of people in green on the way back to the bus in the evening

i was meant to be photoing someone dressed as spiderman at lunchtime but he cancelled mid morning which was fine

kezia went out in the evening to a church youth thing

i went out to photo Midge Ure (Ultravox, Band Aid, Live Aid etc)

here’s some pictures of midge ure – it was a nice easy concert to photo as the venue was only a third full and the lighting was excellent

jane got a kindness prize at school today for lending a work colleague my car

everyone else had school/work

it was a sunny morning and i managed to pop out at lunchtime for a walk

i found an open art gallery in the silos which was very good

work, school, after work seminar for me, book club

busy days at school and work for all

we got sent loads more Holden (Vauxhall) merchandise much to the delight of hte girls!

one of jane’s school friends had her car stolen at the weekend so we’ve lent her mine.  only mine wouldn’t start, but i managed using ‘the knack’ this evening so it’s all good again

it’s been parked in a bush for 10 days which has been brilliant for the ants who have now taken over properly.  jane’s friend will have fun with all those ants.

otherwise a crazy busy day at work for me, girls had various musical things.  jane had school

and it’s pretty much stopped raining now so that’s good.  although we have to ration our water usage until April as the water filtration plant can’t work at full capacity due to the flash flooding causing silt

church this morning during massive rain showers which lasted until mid afternoon.  we went for lunch in a burger place (next to a wall painted by the same person who painted the car) then esther had a driving lesson.

i spent most of the day trying to install software on esther’s laptop (very frustrating until i discovered her free version of office didn’t actually include the standalone applications – d’oh).

jane walked pearl then we both went to see a french film this afternoon

weather was a bit better today although i notice they cancelled the light installation thing we went to last night for today

esther went in to town to see her friends performing in a singing group

and our garden is enjoying the rain

work, school.  torrential, damaging rains again.  graffiti car valet.

dinner then wander round an art installation at the domain with our friends in the pouring rain.

i was hoping to photo a band tonight but it didn’t work out.  was also hoping to photo a band at the arena on saturday but that’s not worked out either.
