i worked from home today where i sneezed regularly and loudly.

everyone else had school

jane is out tonight at her book club

jane went to watch a load of authors today including lauren childs

girls had school

i was off sick today with a stinking cold and slept most of the day

this evening i had to pick up the girls from Albany as esther needed to buy some after eight mints.  wispas have arrived in new zealand

work, school, music practices

jane and esther were up early for a mother’s day dog walk (and cafe visit i think)

i was up early to do sound at church which is all a bit confusing as it’s a new sound desk

after church we went to takapuna for a mother’s day lunch and on the way home did some mother’s day family supermarket shopping

this afternoon kezia did homework while esther and a friend had a eurovision song context party complete with scoring and arm dancing

jane and i had a full day of fun today. first we went to muriwai where one of photo friends was having an ‘open home’ as part of the open studio festival.  we visited her house then a couple of other galleries which was lovely.

part of the fun is seeing other people’s amazing houses.  my friend Judy’s house looks along Muriwai beach and is amazing!

after that Jane and i drove in to town, had lunch in a cafe then visited the NZ music exhibition which featured lots of photos taken by my music photography friends so that was cool.

jane and esther walked pearl when we got home then jane and i went out for a meal that we needed to take before a voucher we’d been given expired.  unfortunately the restaurant was absolutely freezing and it took an hour for our (cold) food to arrive.  oh well, at least it was free!

And on the way home we popped in to some other friend’s annual pumpkin party where we stood in their garden chatting to british people in the 8degrees C chillyness.

very rainy and windy today.

i went to the audiologist this morning to get some moulds/molds done of my ear for some fitted ear plugs.  when they put the putty in my ears there was silence for 5 minutes.  except it wasn’t silent, it was REALLY noisy as my tinnitus seemed to go in to overdrive and i was glad to get them out!  After that i drove in to work and eventually found a parking space.

this evening kezia went to a church youth thing and everyone else watched telly.

sorry, crazy week. work and home been really busy

wednesday was work, school

thursday was work, school and in the evening the girls and jane went to jane’s school to watch Westside Story at jane’s school

meanwhile i went to an event run by Getty where i’m still trying to get accreditted for their editorial team

they had a person taking photos so you can see some pictures of me for a change

pity they didn’t ask me to tuck my shirt in properly!

school, work, girls had solo performances at school today for their exams

kezia had a choir concert at an old people’s home during which jane, esther, pearl and i walked from the harbour bridge to the lifty bridge and back

rest of the day was school preparations and a bit of computer mending for me
