back to work / school after the long weekend
i caught up with Buzz at lunchtime
the girls had music and we had to pick up pearl in the new small car with the three of us, our school/work bags, a viola, a violin a trombone and a pearl.
jane is out having fun with her fellow year 8 teachers this evening. they are having a celebratory meal they are making themselves at school. there was also some boxing involved apparently.
jane was up early to go for a walk with a school friend
then jane and i went to muriwai with pearl for a walk there
this afternoon i had a sleep, jane did school work and esther went to see a friend in takapuna
kezia just sat around watching netflix all day
this evening we went to see Pecking Order which is a new zealand documentary on chicken fanciers which is completely hilarious and well worth seeing if you can find it

church this morning where kezia and i did some photoing.
after church esther went in to auckland with two boys (!) and kezia and i went to watch an accordion competition grand finale
i of course couldn’t help myself but take some photos with my little camera from the audience
jane did millions of school, home and house works
i ran my photo course in the morning which went really well. there were only 2 people plus me and the guy who owns the tour company so we could be quite hands on with our tuition!
in the evening jane and i went out to a friends house and played family fortunes (known as family feuds here)
esther stayed over at a friend’s house on Friday night as she and her friend went to their orchestra leader’s house for some grade 5 music theory tuition as his son is sitting the exam at the same time.
school, work, rain, i went to an exhibition opening which i wasn’t part of this year. but they let me be in their picture anyway

i drove in to auckland today as i had to photo a colleague’s spare house which he’s renting on AirBnB so that was a bit of fun at lunchtime.
i also spoke to someone from Getty about being a contributor which would be a nice way of possibly making a little bit of money from concert photos. i’ve started the process of getting signed up and we’ll see how it goes!
jane has had a busy day at work and is busy this evening too.

kezia phoned me half way through the day and said she needed to go to the doctors so i had to miss a couple of meetings to take her there. she was in a jolly mood and the doctor noted at the end of the session that “we can both tell you aren’t very ill”. so we came home and she slept for ages (she’s got the lurgy that’s going round)
this evening i picked up esther from a choir practice at 8pm and she drove me home.

esther has been organising lunchtime concerts as part of arts week at school and today’s was another packed performance so that’s good.
kezia has gone to a youth lecture on the internet or something this evening

i went to a men’s meeting at church where a chap told us about his investigation in to the pike river coal mine disaster which was very interesting
church, afternoon of being an orchestra for the girls, afternoon with her school choir (jane)
i had to take some photos at church again this morning as there was a guest speaker. i also tried out my new earplugs throughout the service 
this lady below is a member of our church congregation. she won a medal at the recent world master’s games for weight lifting!!!
