i worked from home today so took pearl for a walk first thing when the world was looking sunny but frosty

girls had school

then later afternoon i drove over to the airport to pick up Fay who is visiting from the UK as she’s got an assignment at Auckland University for a few weeks

i was interested to note that electronic passports take longer than old school passports for those leaving new zealand

Fay bought some lovely gifts which we used to do a taste comparison test between british and new zealand chocolate

school, interesting work, esther violin practice of her exam pieces with her accompanist while kezia and i got lost in a grotty mall and equally grotty KFC

school, work, some music thing at school which the girls were at (which over-ran by 45 minutes so i sat in the car in the carpark) and jane had book club

work, school, my birthday

i walked to the camera shop to pick up my birthday present but they didn’t have it in stock

work, school, chamber orchestra concert, wireless network setting up

it was pearl’s birthday and i had a look at the new underground train line as i walked back to the bus

Church then Jane and i went in to town to meet Debbie and have a look round a photo gallery near her house. 

In the evening kezia went to a concert at the arena with some chums so needed picking up at ten pm so it was a bit of a late night again.  

jane was up early with pearl for a walk with her work chum sarah, then they came back and did their exercises in the garage

i got up late, did my business tax return some photo sorting, then i went to the zoo (photos tomorrow)

i dropped esther off at school on the way to the zoo as she has two (final) performances of Sweeney Todd today, followed by an end of run party

jane met up with her friend amanda late morning and did school work this afternoon.  kezia mostly watched netflix all day (and evening) but she also did some homeworks

this evening jane and i drove up to Waiwera to sit in some hot water for an hour then drove down to takapuna to sit in a restaurant and stuff our faces for a further hour in anticipation of my half-90 birthday next week!  We shared a giant dessert which was the size of a fish bowl

we all went to watch esther’s school play this evening which was excellent.  i’ll post some pictures tomorrow
