i played bass this afternoon then spent the afternoon with my friend nori shooting dogs
esther hung out with her chums in takapuna
jane and the girls took pearl to a Labrador fun day where pearl won lots of prizes!

kezia was back really late last night watching swimmers, so was a bit tired by the time she got back from her 5.30am swimming this morning.
then the rest of the day was mostly spent doing homework, then this afternoon we went for a walk at Long Bay and did some skimming stones at granny’s bay
it rained a lot at lunchtime so i nearly stayed in the office
but then i thought it’s not everyday the future king and queen of england come a visiting, so i popped out to get some snaps
kezia skipped violin and her swimming lesson to go to watch a qualifying event for the Commonwealth Games which was great fun for her, although she didn’t get back until 10pm and needs to be out of the house just after 5am.

i worked from home so that was good for sleeping although my working day started with an hour long call to tech support which i could have done without.
both girls had short school days today due to a teacher union half day or something. kezia came home and did homework all afternoon
esther stayed in takapuna as she had an orchestra practice
kezia has swimming this evening and i had a music practice and a big headache. probably linked.
willy and katie are in town tomorrow. not sure if i’ll get to see them. might take my camera just in case
work, school, violin, esther youth
cameras was cancelled due to a double booking of the venue. that’s a shame as i was looking forward to that.
kezia won a competition in a magazine and got some lip balms!
busy days for all. kezia had an immunisation, but wasn’t sure what for. but had to tell the nurse she wasn’t planning on getting pregnant soon (that’s good news)
esther had violin and jane had another parents evening

bits of the royal family are in new zealand, but mostly down in wellington so just a news story at the moment. they are up in auckland on friday though so i might pop out at lunch for a gawp. weather permitting.

day started with an extra hour in bed thanks for the clocks changing
but we were still up early – me for church and jane for walking pearl
i was playing bass at church this morning so that was fun
esther went off with the youth group to one of the west coast beaches for the day
and the rest of us went to muriwai with pearl

i’ve spent quite a bit of today in bed feeling a bit sick. there’s some lurgy going round the office so i suspect it’s that. Hopefully i’ll be ok in the morning as i’m playing at church.
the girls went out to see Mr Peabody and Sherma or something but i stayed at home instead.

school for everyone else. and then this evening we went to esther’s school last night of the proms evening which was a fund raiser for the music trip to europe
