this morning i went with esther to her school for the 7am rendezvous before they got the bus to the airport for their midday flight.  all seemed in good spirits.  esther didn’t want me to take a photo of her, so the closest you get is the picture above!

i then went in to work and had a busy day before rushing back to meet kezia after school

there were lots of big thunder showers today coupled with brief bursts of strong wind.  quite impressive!

kezia had violin this evening and while she was at swimming jane and i went out for a meal

kezia had a school concert this evening for a singing group that meets at school lunchtimes.  it was very good

the rain overnight had cleared up by this morning, although there were lots of wrecked umbrellas and puddles about

esther had an orchestra practice after school and then finished off her packing

and i had a busy day at work which involved watching these ladies explain to a colleague what their roof windows look like.  i don’t know either.

usual wednesday morning church men’s breakfast, followed by a rumbly tummy day at work.  wild weather outside and inside it seems

everyone else had school.  kezia had violin and esther’s tennis was cancelled due to the weather

i worked from home but ended up having to take the day as leave because i spent most of the day mending our home internet connection (which seemed to have broken since the Chorus mendy man came). in the afternoon i went for a molemap then picked up kezia then came home then picked up esther from violin then came home, had a quick eat, then went out to esther’s school for a weigh-in of suitcases and passport surrendering.  esther’s band played a few songs too.

jane had school and parent’s evening.

kezia managed to do her homework while being shuffled around to the various locations, using bits of internet where she could to get her homework completed.

and esther got a load of hungarian florins

really busy day for me up to 1.30pm when i rushed home (just too late) to see the fibre broadband mendy-man.  instead i bought a new printer

the fibre is now working, thanks to Jane and the mendy man

jane had school.  esther had violin things and trombone things

kezia had swimming

and while she was swimming i went out with Mike to take these photos under the harbour bridge

and jane did millions of homeworks

Church this morning –  bass for me,  kids teaching for jane and esther.  Two friends from school came with Kezia

Debbie came to ours after church and we spent the afternoon sorting out warrens old laptop.

It home Internet is still broken so no Skypes. Esther spent the afternoon in the library using their wifi and kezia and me went up the road to some friends th is evening to use their wifi.

Friends with connections!

i was at the judging place for 8.30am this morning, but after holding the high pressure job of switching the light on and off (twice in 3 hours) it became clear we were slightly over staffed in terms of volunteers so i came home and slept.  unfortunately that meant jane and i didn’t feel we could go to the celebratory dinner so we skipped that.

jane and esther spent the day packing her bag, ready for the big weigh in/final check at school on Tuesday.

kezia went to a friend’s house and is having a sleep over.

it’s been a mentally busy week for me at work.

after work i went to the place where we’re having the photo competition judging tomorrow to set things up.  we got the first category of images on the racks and it was nice to see some of my photos up there.  i think i’m at least in with a chance.

esther got her school report which is very good.

kezia had swimming this evening.  jane did school and stuff

i saw this giant block of ice on the floor on the way to work this morning.  had some nice colours in it.

jane did school and saw her german friend

esther went shopping with jane to get some things for her grand voyage which starts a week tomorrow

i found out i didn’t get that job.  bizarrely it was my boss that told me as he thought i must already have been told.  oops!  but that was ok.

and i had a band practice this evening which didn’t go particularly well!

but it was nice to see the chunk of ice !
