church this morning
i went to the hardware shop to get some wood so i’m less likely to fall through the ceiling when i check on the leaky roof
then this afternoon we all drove over to a boutique cinema to watch Boychoir only to find out there were only two tickets left so we came home.
then, while jane was doing more marking kezia and i went to pak ‘n’ save but forgot our shopping bags
very rainy day today.
jane spent the morning at the hairdressers while kezia and i drove in to town to pick up her new viola
then i spent the rest of the day sorting photos for a competition and taking some of them back to the printer chap who hadn’t stuck things down properly
this evening we were going to go to the movies but didn’t because it was raining so hard and my stomach went hurty.

thai people seem to use various gestures when they speak so we’re going to adopt some of those. ok? (said with an ok finger gesture)
this means i’m having a lovely time. which we were
i had a very busy day at work. jane had a busy day at school and will spend all weekend marking
i got a new lens for my camera at a hearty discount (it is the cheapest canon lens anyway, so that’s even better)
esther has been to a Korean show at school this evening which sounded rather crazy but good fun

school and work for all
kezia had orchestra after school then we zoomed over to albany mall to do some emergency shopping (mainly underpants for me) and picked up some photo prints, then kezia went back to school to sing in her choir at a musical event. we finally made it home just before 9pm
jane got up early and did lots of school work and had a busy day at school. things are progressing well with her marking/report writing.
esther had school then tennis
some bad weather is moving in.
The whirlwind that was Noey flew back to Thailand today so the house is now quieter.
the girls all had school and i was able to work from home today which was good
i ran a workshop this evening at camera club on how to use LIghtroom and probably confused everyone
i got my copy of New Zealand Camera this evening which is the annual photo book of New Zealand photographers. It’s quite an honour to have an image in the book so i was pleased to see it featured one of my images.
and there were about a dozen quails in the garden this afternoon. they looked like they were having an outing. here are some of them
just school, work, choir etc
church this morning then kezia and i took noey to sheep world. she hadn’t even seen a sheep in real life before coming to New Zealand four weeks ago, and now she’s helped shear one!
esther had a trampoline party this afternoon (seems to be all the rage at the moment)
and jane did school reports all day
but we did allow her to take a break and go out with some church friends this evening
this morning kezia and noey came with me to the Mairangi Arts Centre where i was meeting with the three other photographers who i’m sharing some wall space with next month.
we then went down to the beach and looked in some rock pools
we found some small crabs and star fishes
meanwhile jane and esther did some shopping
this afternoon kezia, noey and jane went to Orewa with Pearl to Pearl’s best friend and run around on the beach and sea
this evening kezia has had a choir concert which jane has gone along to
esther has been doing homework all the rest of the day and evening
and it’s been nice and sunny today so that’s nice.
i then spent the rest of the day sorting photos, including the ones above which i’m planning on putting in our exhibition
work, school etc. wild rains in auckland. and prince harry apparently, though we didn’t see him
kezia has gone to a trampoline party with her church youth group and noey and jane have gone to the supermarket
wild weather down in wellington today. i had telephone and video meetings with people down there today. no idea if they made it home!

kezia had her braces removed and now just had a retainer which she’s enjoying popping in and out. she had a choir practice this evening in takapuna ready for a concert this weekend
esther had tennis. jane did lots of driving around after school picking people up and dropping them down. she and noey went to mairangi bay where noey spent ages walking around in the sea getting wet (and presumably cold)
i had a really busy day of meetings but managed to catch up with my chum buss at lunch.
