tricky judge at camera club last night where 90% of images got acceptance. Kezia managed to get two highly commendeds for these two images
i got a highly commended for my tramp
but the one below was rejected so didn’t even get a pass. this images was also part of my set of images i put forward for the associate of the NZ photo society. turns out he was part of the judging panel so no wonder it was rejected.
otherwise it was busy days for all
esther had big band
kezia had church youth

“Great news everybody, the girl whose funeral i sang at has finally died”. So said Esther last week when she heard she would be on Shortland Street this week
she was rather small !
otherwise, school for everyone and esther/jane went to a thing at her school this evening about exams
kezia also found out her choir were just 2% off winning a gold medal at their wellington competition which is amazing considering this was their first time at the competition!
starting to get quite light in the morning now.
everyone had school. and esther is on telly tomorrow evening with her choir on Shortland Street which is a TV series set in a hospital
church then lunch outside at a cafe in Browns Bay as we were over there for esther to register for club tennis
the rest of the day was spent doing chores
nice to see some pohutakawas out so early!

jane went to the gym and walked pearl and did grocery shopping and lots of school work
i took esther to another of the finale concerts for the KBB competition which her concert band was performing at. they were really excellent.
the concert lasted 3 hours and jane has gone to the second concert which started an hour after the one i was at finished because esther’s orchestra are playing at that.
kezia was feeling a bit ill this morning so had a long sleep but has gone to a party at a friend’s house this evening so i’ll have to go and collect her later
my concert photoing last night went well, despite the lighting in the bar where they were playing being nearly totally non-existent. i edited all the photos before i went to bed, but they haven’t been put on the website yet so i know not to rush next time!

this was the support band who had even less lighting so i had to make my own effects.

i worked from home and am feeling a lot better
jane had a busy day at school then took kezia for a dental appointment
esther had kbb music all day and has been practising as part of the prestigious, audition KBB honours band. we’re going to the concert in a minute at the cathedral

i slept most of today as i seem to be going down with a bad cold. hopefully i’ve headed it off. i only decided i was too ill to be at work once i’d got there which was a bit of a shame as i could have got up a bit later! i’ll work from home tomorrow though.
jane and kezia had school. esther spent the day at the cathedral doing KBB music competitive stuff.
