lovely roast dinner this evening

i popped out to get some photos printed but the shop was shut

and a story from last night – one of the other photographers was too fat to get in to the photo pit so took photos from the crowd and then up in the balcony.  you see me in action in the pit !

jane had a day at school today supervising the backstage area of the school play

kezia and i went in to auckland to enjoy the diwali celebrations

esther stayed at home and did revising

i’m going out again in a minute to shoot a band so i’ll stop by the diwali festival on the way (it’s nearby) to see the evening dancings

at the moment i’m trying to photo as much as i can for the exhibition so i have lots to choose from!

the rest of the family are staying in and going to watch the apprentice

another silly busy day at work for me, but i hit my deadlines and next week should be a bit quieter (hopefully)

jane had school all day and was at school all evening too helping backstage at the school play

kezia had school

esther had a day at the university with her orchestra watching the recording on one of the orchestra member’s composition by bits of the auckland philharmonic orchestra

then the two of us spend a windy two hours at the tennis club where esther had her first interclub matched

she played really well but lost both matches.  but that’s ok.  she’s the number one player in her squad and the first half of the year is all a bit mismatched.  they rejig the leagues after xmas and it all get a bit more even after that

this evening we watched the apprentice

work / school for all

i took my big camera to work so i could take some photos on the way in and hopefully start collecting images for the exhibitions.  i don’t think i’ve got any decent ones yet

kezia had orchestra after school

esther had tennis this evening and jane walked pearl on the beach

i had lunch with Reuben our pastor

and met buzz for afternoon tea

and i was really busy with work the rest of the time too!

everyone had school.  it was cloudy then it went sunny

kezia had youth.  esther had a nice time at her formal dinner thing last night

i’ve skipped camera club this evening as i’m so tired.  and i’ve been thinking it’s thursday all day

jane was off sick today

girls had school.

esther has a formal dinner with her musical chums this evening in Devonport (very fancy)

i had a stupidly busy day at work (could do with a bit of a rest) and then had our first session with Tom Ang to talk about the exhibition on the waterfront

everyone was back at school today

esther attempted to do a load of photocopying after school but her card was broken so she did some trombone practice instead

kezia had orchestra

i had a stupidly busy day (have the same tomorrow and wednesday too)

but i did have a long chat with this guy who didn’t seem to mind his hose pipe was getting my shoes and trousers wet.  he’s a greeny recycling type chap who loves this little garden which has popped up near the water front for a few weeks

i did sound at church this morning so was up at half five as jane was leaving for her run

i went to bed at 1am though after last night’s gig so that wasn’t much sleep. gig was good.  i’ll share the pictures another time

i spent the rest of the day editing photos

jane did lots of homeworks.  so did esther and kezia

this evening jane and me had a walk at mairangi bay where jane was picking up esther’s tennis book

we had a misunderstanding about who should be in the selfie.  so i took one of myself instead

but it turned out jane hadn’t actually heard me and would have loved to have been in my selfie, so we did another selfie together after all. hoorah

jane was up early for gym-ing

we all went out for lunch with sam and leeann who are passing through on their last day in new zealand

then this afternoon esther and kezia have been doing school work and jane has been doing sterling work in the garden

i’m out shooting a concert this evening.  it’s a sit down one so slightly different from what i’ve done before.
