kezia had an exam, esther did revision in the university library

i went to a meeting in an office with an excellent sign

and in the evening jane and i went out to see a concert (which i wasn’t shooting at).  it’s courtney barnett

exam revising at home for the girls – kez has her first one tomorrow and esther on monday

kezia objected to me asking her to help with the washing up this evening by saying “it’s so annoying, you’re making me do all these things when I’ve just finished doing nothing”

this evening jane has been out to a music practice

and i’ve been busy sorting photos for the exhibition

and during work today the all blacks came by as part of a victory parade.  i went up to a car park next to the road to take these pictures expecting them to be in an open top bus.  instead they were in a motley set of vehicles include a traffic cone lorry!

esther was at home revising all day.  kezia had some kind of part teacher day i think then hung around for the rest of the day with her chums.

they’ve both gone back to school this evening as they are performing at the school prize giving ceremony.  i’ll have to go out and get them in an hour or so i think (if i’m still awake)

and there’s lots of last minute things to sort out for the Queens Wharf Exhibition which i don’t really have time to do my sorting.  but have to!

jane was assessed at school and did well

esther got back in to the same choir

kezia also got back in to her old choir

and i ended up photoing Robbie Williams.  i’m not allowed to post the photos here, so will put a link to them when they appear on Cheese On Toast. meanwhile here’s a sneaky thumbnail of my edits (please don’t share!)

in between work and robbie i went along to a photo sorting session for the exhibition. unfortunately i had to leave before it was finished so don’t know which of my images (if any) will make it on to the big screens vs the digital screens.  exciting!

i worked from home today as i had some documents to write.  a couple of electricians came to mend some lights, i managed to source a replacement bit for the shower and had a moan to the pool people about our pool.  and because i was at home all day i could upgrade jane’s computer to windows 10 in the background while i was doing my work.  excellent.

esther had to go to school for her violin lesson first thing then got the bus to the university library then had to go back again at the end of the day for a music rehearsal

kezia had her viola lesson before school and orchestra after.  and jane had school all day

kezia was up at 4.30am today to watch the all blacks game.  i caught the last 20 minutes.  excellent

jane, esther and i then got in the car and picked up janine and amy to do the auckland harbour bridge 12k race thing.  we did the walk, but you still have to go fast to avoid the embarrassment of being driven over the bridge in the bus for slow people.  looking at the stats, most people run it i think

meanwhile kezia took herself off to church and back

this afternoon there’s been snoozing and houseworks and homeworks

and a dead bird on the patio

we three are doing the 12km harbour bridge walk tomorrow so we went in to town to get our race packs

unfortunately jane and i needed to do some extra paperwork as we’d originally registered for the half marathon

and you can’t do paperwork on paper anymore so jane (on a borrowed laptop) and me (on my phone with my keyboard showing blank keyboard keys because i’d set it up in ninja mode that morning for fun) had to fill in a complicated web form which we nearly abandoned.  but we managed it

it will be interesting to see how many people turn up tomorrow what with a rather important rugby game being on tomorrow early morning

this afternoon the girls went to library and food shopping

i’m out photoing a concert this evening so hopefully that won’t be too late …

my day started with a walk up Queen Street to a record shop where a band was playing on a local radio station in a record shop

the girls had school

kezia went bowling with her youth group in the evening

esther went to tennis where it chucked it down with rain for a while

but it was still ok to play.

work for me was really busy.  a couple of people were dressed up for various reasons

on the way back to the bus stop in the evening i saw some people putting up some scaffolding

so i made a little video:

then because kezia was at bowling and needed picking up at nine and jane and kezia were at tennis, i went to do a timelapse of the sunset.  unfortunate my phone kept crashing so i didn’t get hte sun going down, but did get the city lights coming on

both girls had auditions today for the orchestra and should hear next week how they got on

i found out from the insurance people that they will pay for my camera and lens to be replaced so that’s good
