esther had a day watching korean dramas

kezia went to the beach with a friend

i went to work and had lunch with andrew cheese-on-toast

jane had teacher training which involved a first aid course where she volunteered to be a spirty blood victim

our broadband stopped working at 6am this morning.  Lily came in to town with me in the morning to get her bus to hot water beach so i left her in this cafe window having her breakfast

after a short meeting i headed home to sort the broadband out as i had to be in the house apparently.  it sort of worked out ok as i could meet esther on the way home and collect her new school uniform so she didn’t have to drag it round takapuna with her friend for the rest of the day

kezia was also in takapuna with a friend

jane had her teacher only day which went well

and the broadband magically came back on at about 5pm which is good news as otherwise i would have had to work from home tomorrow waiting for the technician to arrive

and it’s still really hot.  although i think some rain may be on its way

it’s been 30 degrees here today. 

this morning we had church then jane and i went to buzz and wendy’s house for afternoon tea.  there were wellies (gumboots) on a fence on the way

lots of chores / school prep / church podcasting

this evening Lily came back for a night

jane and i went for a walk first thing then we picked up kezia and went to help jane sort out her new classroom.  but unfortunately she couldn’t get in to the building

kezia spent the day helping paint a friend’s bedroom

i spent the day in auckland shooting bands at a mini festival outside a record shop

jane eventually did get in to her room and did lots of preparations

esther went for a bike ride as part of her sleepover and finally came back

jane and i went to a BBQ with some photo friends tonight which was really nice

(busy day so didn’t get a chance to edit the photos, so i’ll pop them in later)

i had a doctor’s appointment first thing to get my hayfever medicines then came home to dial in to a meeting

meanwhile jane was at school preparing her new class room

this afternoon jane went to the hairdressers and i went in to the office

esther had a concert band practice and is ‘glamping’ tonight at a friend’s house

kezia went out with her friend to takapuna

and this evening jane, kezia and i took the car to the carwash

work for me.  i met up with buzz at lunchtime in the sweltering heat

then i’ve had a nap after work because i’m shooting a concert later this evening

jane did school sorting all day

kezia went to her friend’s house for the day

esther went to get the bus to town to meet her friend but ended up being followed by a little dog which she eventually caught, but not before she’d bumped in to debbie who gave her a lift to the bus station.

and the boat carrying boat seemed lower today (check against pictures from yesterday)

busy day at work from me and i’m feeling exhausted already!

jane went shopping with the girls then stayed in while we got a new garage door opener fitted

jane the girls went to the mall where esther sorted out her mobile phone and now has her own spotify account

lily walked up rangitoto and back in the blistering heat

and tonight we went for a walk on takapuna beach

all the ladies went to devonport this morning and i stayed behind to meet the garage opener repair man.  misnomer as he couldn’t repair it so we’ll be buying a new one.  hopefully fitted this week

this afternoon we all went to the auckland museum as rain was forecast and Lily wanted to visit the museum.  there’s an excellent 75 years of air new zealand exhibition on at the moment.  did you know that in the olden days airlines would provide packing lists for travellers?  and people needed to be informed that clouds were soft

this evening jane’s gone out for coffee with Debbie at mcdonalds and kezia has a friend staying over night.  they are both in the pool in the rain at the moment
