jane and i went to a thing at church this morning then popped by the exhibition which closes on monday, went out for lunch and a wander round the wholesalers (i know how to treat a lady!).  i took a few pictures and helped (unsuccessfully) video the session

esther went out with her korean drumming friends for an all you can eat buffet and karaoke

 

kezia went to university library with her friend to do homeworks

work/school for all. i had a really hectic day and at one point i left a meeting to take a call and when i came back a couple of minutes later there was a more casual aspect to the meeting room. 

there was a practical reason for this – the acoustics in the room were so bad (very high ceiling) that people had to gather round the phone, but the phone was in the middle of the table and had a very short cable.

various roadworks had had a facelift over night

school/work for jane and me then we went in to town to watch the gala choir concert for the choir competition that the girl’s choirs were part of

late night for all

esther had the most exciting day.  she went to the navy barracks and her big band had a practice with the navy band.  it was really useful apparently.

kezia and jane had school

i worked from home but still had to get up early to take esther to the bus station.  day was productive though so that was good

i had the day off sick so spent the day sleeping

the girls had school

esther went in to town after school to watch The Magic Flute with her music class.  i got out of my sick bed to pick her up at 10.30pm

everything feels a bit out of control at the minute!

i spent the day in the dark basement of a bridge club helping press the computer buttons on a day of photo judging.  i was the second computer operator so not much to do really.  still exhausting.

jane had a teacher only day at school

esther spent the day doing homework

kezia is having a sleep over at a friend’s house without her phone as she’s doing a 40 hour technology challenge.  which might actually be 30 hours.

despite seeing hundreds of photos today i actually took none.

i spent the day at two hospice op shops (charity shops) taking pictures.  i was using my work volunteer day so i was paid by Spark to be there which was nice.

 

full on day though – photoing for four hours then at least that editing this evening.  all done now

jane and esther had school

kezia spent much of the day in auckland at her chamber group performance which went very well ( i saw a video)

and we had our house bug sprayed so hopefully that will keep the argentine ants at bay

this evening jane and esther have gone out to watch Evita

work/ school

it’s been really windy recently and there were proper waves in the harbour which made for some nice longer exposure shots.  although it was tricky as it was so windy holding the camera still was a challenge

this evening jane is going back to school to watch some of her students performing in a music concert

and i’ve got to get the house ready for the insect killing people who are doing their annual visit tomorrow.

i also need to get my camera stuff ready as i’ve a photo project tomorrow all day …
