jane had a day at school today

we let kezia skip her swimming this morning so we could all have a lie in

esther had a great result at tennis.  she won 8-0 in her singles and won her doubles too.

kezia spent the day with a friend out in whangaparoa (30 mins drive away).  the house was at the bottom of Ladies Mile in a place called Manly!

i did a bit of exploring on the way back to collect esther from tennis and the two of us braved the mall for a quick shopping trip during the big rains storm this afternoon.

esther is now at a sleepover so we watched some telly with kez

work/school for all with various work/school related exciting things.

kezia had swimming then we watched two hours of the Apprentice

school for all.  work for me

lunchtime stroll between manic but productive meetings.  some things are progressing on a couple of my projects which is interesting

work, school, esther went early for a band practice and had a different band practice after school

kezia had violin, jane had book club

i had the best crisp/chip in my entire life.  it was a kettle chip which hadn’t quite exploded.  excellent

there were a couple of Korean military ships in auckland today.

we all had school/work

esther had violin.  kezia had swimming

kezia and i then went to Westlake to learn about what device (ie laptop) she needs for school next year.

i went out for lunch as one of my colleagues is leaving. 

we arrived in new zealand exactly five years ago today.  that time has flown by

jane took her german class in to auckland today for lunch so they could eat german food

i met up with buzz at lunchtime

the girls had school.  kezia had swimming

esther had school which involved violin and trombone, then had tennis

kezia had a swimming competition this morning.  only one personal best today but that’s ok.

jane and esther went to church

jane spent most of the rest of the day doing school work and preparation for term which starts again tomorrow

i had a walk round henderson while kezia was doing her warm-ups

and this afternoon we went round to Janine’s house for afternoon tea

and the girls and i watched some doctor who

kezia had her early morning swimming while jane went running

when they got back we all headed in to Auckland to go the Light Show at the Auckland Art Gallery which opened today.

it’s the same one which was at the Haywood Gallery in London a while back and it was excellent

photography isn’t allowed in the exhibition, so here’s a photo of another exhibit on at the moment which involves a never ending development of a city using white lego bricks.

after we’d been round the gallery and finished playing in the light projections we grabbed some morning tea and sat in aotea square which was being set up for the diwali festival

we went back home for lunch and jane spent the rest of the day doing school work

the girls and i went to pick up kezia’s new glasses, then drove back in to town to enjoy the diwali festival

kezia took some photos too, but they are on the other computer.  she has a nice one of the prime minister laughing

when we got home there were various domestic chores

and some doctor who watching

and some supermarket shopping (for jane)

and the weather was finally spring like and gorgeous

jane school, me work, girls at home on devices.

swimming this evening.  grown ups tired

there was a total lunar eclipse last night.  so i popped outside to watch it.  but the clouds moved in, so i had to be lucky with when i grabbed my shots

i worked from home today.  jane had a teacher day.  the girls were at home playing on their devices.  esther watched jurassic park really loud.

kezia left her false nails on the ironing board

this evening the humans went to debbie’s house for food and a game of cards

and pearl took it easy at home
