my car went in for its WOF and service this morning so i walked from Albany village up to the old park and ride where i used to get a bus from which was a nice reminisce. i came back the same way after work.

girls had school.  esther had violin, kezia and swimming and pearl had a run with jane.

and it was drizzly all day which is weather i’d normally associate with the UK rather than NZ.  although it was quite warm with it.

labour day today, so a public holiday

the day started with lots of skyping – jane’s parents and both of mine too. 

then i went back to Armageddon

kezia went shopping with jane

and esther spent the day revising

all are back to school/work tomorrow

finally … thoughts go to my family in the UK at grandma’s funeral today

my picture appeared in an advert in Our Auckland.  so i can say my photo has gone to every home in auckland!  so proud

church this morning then kezia and i spent the afternoon at Armaggedon

then this evening debbie came over to watch a documentary about a 90 year old nun which i won

jane rang 13 miles this morning then did a massive walk after church with a friend

esther had been doing revising for most of the day

early morning swimming for kezia (despite the usual protests) and running for jane

early afternoon we went to Muriwai for a walk with pearl

then this evening we watched lots of telly and jane did some water blasting

work/school.

esther had an audition for the top orchestra with her violin which went well and they told her they thought she’d get in!

kezia had swimming this evening.  jane went for a run and i went for a 2 hour speed walk and photoing with my new camera (which is going very nicely!)

lots of meeting for me today, mostly on the 18th floor of a building near my office

esther build a fantastic table at school which has a storage place in the middle.  she built it a while a go but school wanted to keep it for a while to show it off!

everyone had school.  then kezia had a violin audition for esther’s orchestra which she got in to!

kezia and i went to look at laptops for school next year so we’re all prepared

it was the exhibition opening this evening.  Kezia got a mention in the President’s speech and lots of people congratulated her on her pictures in the exhibition.

i had to whizz off home during the day today as kezia said was feeling ill.  she slept it off in a couple of hours though and was well enough to go to an audition for the Westlake school choir for next year.

she also had a violin lesson

esther had an orchestra practice and an orchestra audition with her trombone

jane and esther also went to look at a school open evening and saw esther’s amazing table which she’d made

busy days at work for all

i bought a new camera at lunchtime.  i’ve been waiting for it to come out for weeks and it was finally in the shops today.  hoorah.

i worked from home.  girls had school.  tennis and swimming this evening

jane was up early to do her run. then there was some church

this afternoon kezia washed pearl.  i did the church podcast.  the girls did homework/lesson preparation

and i went on an explore which ended up at muriwai
