i worked from home today which meant i could supervise an electrician who mended some lights for us

jane had lessons at the beginning and end of the day

esther had tennis and kezia had swimming.  i went for a walk down by the sea while kezia was swimming.

 

church then greenhithe open gardens with debbie.  then homework/sleeping!

very windy and rainy today.  esther had tennis, but kez skipped swimming.   otherwise much domesticness and some preparations for our UK trip.

a few photos from yesterday in wellington now i’ve had some time to sort them out

esther had an exam study day today at home and this afternoon both girls had their violin lessons here which saved some travelling

this evening kezia went to a church youth group social. jane and esther watched The Choir.

this chap was in a food court which is an old stables.  he was using the free wifi and found a convenient place to plug his laptop in!

i went back at lunchtime to see whether they had added anything more to it and bumped (not literally) in to Prime Minister John Key and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel

i woke early to wild weather which was a bit of a worry as i was flying to wellington.  the flight was a bit lumpy, but only as it left Auckland.  Wellington turned out to be (mostly) a nice day

my meetings went well and as soon as i got off the flight back in auckland i zoomed off to a band practice and then finally got home at 9.30.  quite a long day

i did that on this picture too.  there’s enough detail in this big picture to see a cable car !  can you spot it (red thing top left)

the girls had busy days and jane did millions of things

i got a card to say congratulations on being at Spark for 5 years.  time flies

the plane this evening was painted black

esther had two exams today, but one wasn’t really an exam.

i got honours for this picture at camera club

jane got her reports written and school is busy

the sky looks lovely below, but the rest of the day was squally shows with water still dripping through our roof     rain will continue for the next 10 days.  oh dear.

work/school for all. kezia had a sports day.  then swimming after school.  esther had a violin lesson

my beard is growing.

and esther has got in to the advanced geography stream for next year which is a good achievement

i was on church sound this morning so that was a bit of an early start

then the rest of the day we had a nap (jane and me), watched Dr Who (kez and me), did homework (kez), report writing (jane), revising (esther)

then late afternoon we all went for a walk round the cemetery

kezia had early morning swimming

jane took her there for 5.30am, but i picked her up at 8am and we went to a cafe on the way back

jane went for an early morning walk with pearl then went to a church ladies breakfast talk

the rest of us picked jane up mid morning on the way to esther’s tennis competition.  she won her singles match, but lost her doubles

while esther was tennising the rest of us went for a look round photo exhibition which is next door.  jane’s friend peggy and their children also came along to look at the pictures

this afternoon kezia had a friend over and jane spent hours doing school reports (still work in progress)

esther was of course revising

so i went in to Auckland to go to the Big Boys Toys show

this evening there’s been lots of telly watching and photo editing
