kezia had a friend over today and did some baking

jane did some school preparation and i had jury duty.  i’m on a case which will last a couple of days.

church this morning then a lovely family trip to mahurangi bay where the girls went in the sea and i went up to the lookout to take some pictures

 

jane and the girls went for a high tea in the Waitakere hotel this afternoon.  fancy

this morning kezia and i went shopping for her new school laptop (both school and laptop are new)

while the girls were out high tea-ing, i went to a car show in the west of auckland.  people there are known as ‘westies’.

i saw plenty of mullet hair styles

back to work today, feeling a lot better than i did yesterday!

jane had a great day and found out that her three Year 13 German pupils did excellently well in their external exams

esther got her results back from the external exams she took last year and got all excellents!

jane went for a walk with Belinda and Pearl’s friend and had a great time

the girls did pooling and housey stuff

i had a wander round the streets at lunch and after work

i had the day off sick today to try to shake my cold.

the girls played in the pool and sunbathed and kezia played SIMs.

weather still amazing!

Hello everyone. Dave has gone to bed early after his first day back at work because of his cold – the pictures are his and are not very representative of my day.

I met my chums for coffee and when I got back the girls were still in bed.

We have done more post holiday sorting and bought some food.

Esther and I took Pearl for a lovely walk at the beach this evening.

 

 

Here is Buzz.

we were together but 10 short weeks, but we saw the world together. i will never forget you.

nice to wake up in our lovely house today.  New Zealand weather has been gorgeous while we’ve been away and will hopefully continue like this for a while to come.  it was 27 degrees during the day and 20 degrees last night.

i was first awake (thanks to a sore throat from a cold which was starting as we left Singapore).  i popped out with kez later morning to pick up her birthday present and a quick supermarket visit.

later in the afternoon kezia and jane went to pick up pearl who is now back with us having had a lovely little holiday herself

the rest of the time has been spent sorting stuff out

i’m back to work tomorrow.  so i’ve smartened myself up a little.

Finally made it home (well,  I’m assuming we have as I’m writing this in the taxi just five mins away from home).
Good uneventful flight and Jane did a brilliant job at cleaning the walking shoes.

There are butterflies at singapore airport but they were mostly asleep as we were there so early

We’re on flight NZ281 leaving singapore sometime around nine am Monday and getting in to NZ sometime around midnight on the same day.
