these are like the opposite of street cameras.  shame they aren't plugged in.

i was delighted to see an actual working dot matrix printer jiggling and throwing itself about on the desk during a recent trip to a ten pin bowling alley.  excellent stuff.

i found some more hard drives to destroy sat on our front door step and took them apart before clonking them with a hammer.  it really is a joy smashing these things up. you should try it.

and then, when you've finished your clonking, you can use them as spooky owl  or fish eyes as demonstrated by our good friend ian

if you've never opened up a computer you'll be surprised to learn that they get all their knowledge and information by reading newspapers like the daily telegraph.  when you surf the web the computer is actually creating the pages for you based on it's own experience.

funkypancake only exists in the mind of your computer.  fact.

i just love this machine which was left out in a car park by a hospital.

It's not as good as this classic piece of medical equipment (which i saw in a museum)

hands up if you remember Thames Television ? well, here's a telly floating down the thames
DSC05059.jpg

can you spot it in the big picture ?

i was very impressed by this abandoned telly.

not only had someone gone to the bother of taking it to a dustbin in the street on its trolley, but they had also taped the remote control AND the instruction book to the top of it !

how fantastic is that ???

i really like this picture. it works better big so clickaway my friends.

i wonder how many people get injured with these things dropping off people's roofs and walls ? probably none. but that doesn't make it a silly question does it ?

i asked this question to Ask Jeeves and he suggested i went to a website on Iraq War Deaths. So perhaps it's a problem over there.

this printer was dumped near a chemist shop. i was particularly pleased to see they had thoughtfully left the manual, power cable and one of those funny old fashioned printer connection cables you don't see any more in these days of USB printers.

that kind of thing makes things so much easier for the casual technojunk recycler.

here is an uninteruptable power supply i saw outside an office this morning.

i guess someone interuppted it by throwing it out their front door.

these things are good, but they're not magic.
