you don't see many people in bowler hats in london anymore which is a shame. i think in my business life i've only seen three people wearing these proper clothes. here is one of them.

terrific value hats are available from the Market Sergeants Office. Every market should have a sergeant. and every sergeant an office. and every office should sell hard hards. i mean, how hard can it be ?

hat_under_wheels.jpg

this is a funny old picture. i don't know about you, but looking at the big version (click it boyo) makes me want to fall over.

best of all is the writing on the hat which says 'City of Westminster, Safe Streets'. They are obviously making the streets safer for pedestrians by giving them free construction hats.

my long lost university flat mate jeremy (who isn't really long lost, i just haven't seen him for a while) sent me these pictures of things he found in Cornwall. lost and found.

the only people wearing bowler hats today are those advertising things.
that's a sad thing i think

hats were plentiful in the Tower of London.

the one on the left was spotted and photo'd by esther who made kezia pose in this position for ages whilst she got the photo right.

DSC07981.jpg DSC07983.jpg

did you spot the little vampire on the second hat ? i suspect this hat wasn't lost by a child, rather disposed of by it's parents:

DSC07983b.jpg

it's another picture from jeremy, this time of a hat wearing a bollard.

i'm pleased to be able to put this photo in three categories - hats, bollards ...

... and chopped off heads:

in the oldened days they used to put heads of criminals on spikes in London. to commemorate and to see if there is public support for such practices to be revived, someone has left their hat on these spikey railings.
