fall hazard (well it is autumn)

i went star gazing whilst on holiday and took my camera. a lady then took it away and attached it to a magic tripod to get the stars below (click for a bigger view of awesomeness)

you can see the southern cross in both of these pictures

it was bizarrely light up on top of the mountain where we did the star watching because of the full moon

and we got to wear funky Antarctic coats

i've still not shared all my london photos with you yet, but here i am already moving on to the next holiday

we've just got back from a week's holiday in the South Island (of New Zealand)

here's some pictures of a glacier we walked to. and the great glacial valley it has left behind as it retreats at ever increasing speed

do you remember when we used to have comments open on the blog and it was all fun and interactive? that was nearly 9 years ago my friends. my good chum rascle was always on here making brilliant visual puns about things

anyway, he sent me this which is excellent. here's what he had to say:

When I saw this on our kitchen shelf I thought it was such a funkypancake picture.

i love it when people i know send me funkypancakesque pictures.

here's a great one from tracey who saw this whilst out walking. apparently there was good reason for the sign as there were lots of caterpillars.
